Kids loved it

I bought this book 28 years ago for my kids. They loved it so much I bought one for the grandkids. This is smaller than the original but no less fun. My son and granddaughter enjoy baking together.

This is such a wonderfully illustrated, fun story. My toddler loves to read this and will ask for it multiple times throughout the day. Simple language, vivid illustrations, and an easy to follow sequence make this a great gift! This would be fun to gift with a cookie mix, cookie cutters, and a big bowl.

All three of my children loved this book. Who can resist the subject of cookie baking? Monica Wellington's style of illustration in divine with its playful colors and graphic quality. You want to jump right in and join the fun of baking cookies. It's a simple book, perfect as an early lap book but it will still delight your children for some time to come. Even though the kids are all older, we come across this book on the shelf and take give it a whirl. It is the perfect lead in for a baking activity. Roll out cookies are not just a once a year thing! Start yourself a collection of cookie cutters and colored sugars. Few things are more fun to a child then mixing, rolling, cutting, and decorating a batch of cookies. I swear when I read this book, I can smell cookies baking. Perfect book to include in my new baby book gift baskets.

Gift for our baking grandson. He also got a chef jacket and hat, so it was good to have illustrations that model a boy chef wearing them.

This story was perfect for my lesson. I was able to read the story, recall items seen in the story & use them for us to bake mug/bowl brownies. Thank you!

My daughter LOVES Monica Wellington books. This one and "Apple Farmer Annie" are among the first few books that captured her attention at around 4 months old. She's now in her 9th month and the Monica Wellington books are still some of her go-to choices. They were initially recommended to me by a teacher who said these educational stories illustrate independence and resourcefulness. All I know is that the drawings and stories delight my daughter and are therefore a joy to read to her!

Our 2.5 year old and 4.5 year old kids love this book and request it often. It's very simple. I like it for bedtime because it is short and easy to read. The kids are starting to memorize it. I got this one after my son loved Truck Driver Tom by the same author (also a good one).I got the hard cover. Seems to be good quality. Hopefully my two year old will not rip the pages.
