Underrated but Epic
2 years ago, I purchased Positively Tea's Assam which is really nice stuff (definitely higher up on the quality compared to others) and at an amazing price. 1 pound of tea goes a long way, so now that I am out of Assam, I was in the market to buy more tea.I really was torn between buying this Nilgiri tea or more Assam. Their Assam is highly rated/popular, and I know I love it. Plus it's cheaper at $17.95 compared to the much less rated Nilgiri which is lower quality FBOP (broken) at $18.95. Nilgiri doesn't have nearly as strong a name as Assam does across all brands and borders. Perhaps it's a supply/demand thing for the price/quality discrepancy. I don't know. In any case, it was a bit of gamble investing into a pound of this Nilgiri.I am really happy I bought this tea. It has a flavor I have never experienced in a tea. It isn't as malty or quite as strong as Assam teas are, but it stands really high. The flavor is still pretty strong, but it has a pleasant spice to it that reminds me of coca cola. I brewed it for 5 minutes at just under boiling, and it had almost no bitterness. The company advertises that it goes perfectly as iced tea and I can already tell that this is the case.Positively tea described this tea exactly as it came to me. I would definitely buy again and think it is for sure worth it to anyone who wants to try a new tea. I think this tea is highly underrated and worth exploring into.Update** Summer 2022 Assam varietyI bought another bag of their Assam which I last purchased in 2018. Back then I loved it, and the new bag in 2022 is the same as far as I remember. Its got the classic strong malty flavor of an Assam tea but also quite bitter with lots of astringency compared to other Assam teas I have had. I enjoy it most served hot with no additions in a tiny cup. Very eligble for milk or sweetening if you're in to that.If you wish to brew this for iced tea, you definitely want to add a small dash of baking soda to it. I posted a picture of what it looks like with baking soda vs not. The baking soda prevents it from getting cloudy when cooled. It also curbs some of the bitterness which helps mellow it out. For me, it's borderline undrinkable on its own without the baking soda (when served cold/over ice). Other tea brands/varieties hold up better when iced. If you're looking at making iced tea, I'd recommend Vahdam English Breakfast loose leaf tea. It's a step higher on quality/price and has a great flavor. The flavor actually improved the longer I had it. Also less bitter than this Assam.

Very good flavor!
I use this to make kombucha and also for just a nice cup of tea. I use 1 teaspoon per 6 oz of boiling water and steep for 3 minutes. If I steep it longer, it gets a little astringent which I don't care for. Great with honey or sugar and a splash of milk. Very good product.

Yummy tea
This tea has good freshness (not sure that's the right word for tea leaves, but...) and it works well with my small-mesh diffuser mug inserts. It took a little experimenting to get the right amount for each cup, but now I'm enjoying this tea. There is some depth the the flavor after a long steep. I used to use two tea bags per 16-ounce cup, and I would steep it a long time to get some bitterness. It's difficult to get any bitterness with this loose tea, which most users will appreciate. I prefer a little bitterness, and I can get a little bitter aftertaste if I steep this a long, long time. I may experiment with other flavors that are more suited to the taste I'm aiming for (probably Asam). But I love not having to taste the carboard flavor of a tea bag; I'll never go back now that I've experienced the difference. And I'm saving a ton of money vs. bags.

Wonderful tasting Mango Tea
If you love mango and tea then this is the tea for you. You can smell the mango when you open the bag and you can taste the mango in the tea...it is delicious! The 1lb package is a great buy at $16.16 as the 4oz is $11.66 and you would need 4 of these to equal the weight in the lb package, so there is a savings of over $24.00 enough for another lb of the passion fruit which is also delicious. These are great teas and I recommend them highly if you are a tea lover.

Horrible. Don't recommend. Better option in comments
PHOTOS: 🗑️ is "Positively Tea Company" and ☕ is "Twista Tea" If you are a tea drinking you can SEE the difference in the pictures between the good and bad tea.POSITIVITY DISGUSTING!I barely review but.....if you're a tea snob you will hate this. If you're new to tea don't drink this. This is the kind of tea that would make a new tea drinker say "I don't like tea" and never give tea a try again.Wish I could have returned this....I literally threw this tea in the trashcan where it belongs. I have never in my life threw away tea and I felt bad doing it....but I just couldn't in my right mind drink this or give it to anyone, even as a practical joke. At least they are #1 at something....It tastes like they dried out the leaves with a peatmoss fire and threw dirt on top of it to cool it down. It tastes like literal smoky dirt. Also, you can see the difference in the pictures. Positively Tea is almost ground up, pale, and too many flower buts. The good tea (aka Twista Tea) has nice long leaf pieces, it's dark, and a perfect blend. All in all WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If this was the only tea left in the world I would still rather have nothing.Save yourself the money and don't get this. If you're looking for tea on Amazon, you should definitely get Twista Tea's version of Cream Early Gray. It's a little more expensive but it's worth it. You will throw "Positively Tea company's" cream early gray away. So basically you'll save yourself the $20 by buying a good tea rather than this one. Unlike me who spent $20 on this and $30 on Twista Tea. A good pound of tea ended up costing me $50 all together! You should not do the same as me when you can save yourself that $20 by not getting this tea and buying "Twista Tea" for $30!That is all. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.(PS you can go to my profile to find the other tea that is actually good)
