The sermon It's a Standoff made me by this book. I didn't understand how the book of Joshua was equivalent to Ephesians, so I brought this book. If he said that, I knew I better find out how! It's the battle of the mind. In the book of Joshua, they battled in the natural realm to get the promised land. In Ephesians, the battle is in the mind. This book is fascinating to me because I was an armor crewman in Desert Storm. Some of the same tactics that I learned as a M-1 Tanker in the army, are the same tactics in his book! We knew where the enemy was vulnerable. I didn't know that the Apostle Paul wrote about putting on the armour of God while he was thinking about a Roman soldier! He clearly illustrates how to defeat the enemy in the mind, and that is the way to obtain the promises. We have to know this to win. Thank you Bishop Jakes. Bishop doesn’t miss. Read this book in one day...will be digesting it and putting it into action for a LIFETIME. The truths explained, though older time-wise, are still as relevant today during a new decade and pandemic, as they were at the beginning of the last decade when written. Look forward to reading the rest of the 6 pillars in Ephesians.

Bishop Tdjakes has a great teaching abilities and his books gives great information.

I just started reading this book. I try and read everything by T.D Jakes that I can get my hands on. He is so inspiring. So far the book has me thinking on another level. Can wait to finish it so I can spread the knowledge I've learned. Again, I expected delivery in two to three weeks but received it in about 5 days. AWESOME SERVICE. I will continue to use AMAZON and this seller.

Sturdy little paperback book

The book was phenomenal, page by page I was stopping to reverence God in worship...I learned a lot and as I was reading I was called to reflect, to ensure I was applying all that God had done before to the now storms...once I did that my spiritual eye were opened. Great read for anyone!

I have read many books by T.D. Jakes. but this book has taken me to another level in my spiritual level. It also has helped me on how to deal with everyday living situations. I would recommend it to anyone. This book is so good that I will have to read it twice to make sure that I get everything that the book has to offer.

Bishop Jakes is on point as usual. The book is excellent, very basic language to assist and encourage. Felt uplifted after reading this and continue to read again from time to time.
