My favorite trout lure
I used these when I began trout fishing 40 yrs ago on all the famous and unknown MI streams. Now disabled, and no longer having a boat for the Muskies I've battled over the past 15 years, I wanted to try trout fishing again on Wisconsin streams. I had only one chance this year and so tied on a Panther Marathon. Within 15 minutes I caught 2 nice brownies, 12 inch and 15 inch. Buy assorted weights so you can match differing stream flows - and so you can keep the blade spinning, have the lure dart near a downed log or brush without reeling in. Of course, need to reel in when casting into a pool. In the past I used differing colors depending on light - cloudy/sunny, morning/evening,and the like. Probably sounds like commercial, but sure this will show confirmed buyer. Only negative is the prices now as compared to past.. Oh and one was not actually a Panther as well.

Caught my first trout with this.
Five casts in and caught a nice Tiger Trout on this spinner. Since I caught my first trout with this I have no choice but to give it 5 stars. The spinner held up well and is still in good shape.

Doesn't beat a Mepps, but good quality
The bucktail on this is short and barely worth having on there. As usual, Panther Martin delivers on quality overall though-haven't caught anything yet, but plan to use this for smallies and crappie.

Bought 2 of these 1/8th and 1/16 oz for trout season in Pennsylvania and this was a catching machine 10 brookies and browns out of the same hole . Small one is magic !

Poor product package condition
I am giving this three stars only because it arrived fairly quickly. The lure was most of the way out of its product package. Not what I have come to expect from Panther Martin. It looked as though it has been kicked around someones garage for a few years. We will see if it still works in the next couple weekends. Not very optimistic...
