Heavy Metal: The Story in Pictures

It’s definitely an interesting read if you don’t know the entire history or band members, of course it would be helpful to have the CORRECT band names with images as well as have the correct names listed for the artist/musician.Maybe it’s me, but I would think research goes into the attempt of making bands a part of a historical timeline.

Bought this for my nephew who loved heavy metal back in the day. He raved about this book, so I guess his old auntie picked a good one. Has lots of photos and info on the bands and on the individual band members, which is why I selected it.

More of a general knowledge book with more emphasis on current and recent trends.

Awesome book! Very complete history of metal music, covering both popular and more obscure sub genres.

The book has many inaccuracies and multiple mislabeled photos. IE, they list Slayer as a UK band. They have a photo of Pearl Jam and List it as Alice In Chains. I'm sure they're even more errors that I may have missed. The photography is great. The information is flawed.
