Revise please!
I have been unsuccessful in my attempts in finding an URTEXT edition of the Kuhulau Sonitinas. I am grateful in having an edition of the complete sonatinas of Friedrich Kuhlau. The fingerings in this edition are mostly helpful without being too disruptive. The price is unbeatable and I believe it would be the best edition if it were more sparse in the editorials made; there are far too many slurs, phrasing, and staccatos that can overwhelm the eyes. I have also noticed some rhythmic alterations. On a good note, Schirmer is one of a few publishers to publish a complete set of the sonatinas. The pieces are accessible for late intermediate to early advance pianists.

Very nice complete collection.
This book has the nice new Schirmer laminated cover, the book lies open easily at the piano. The print is slightly smaller than my very old edition, but not hard to read. Great value! (Revised and Fingered by Ludwig Klee is not something new, my 1893 edition says the same thing).

I had lost a book of some of the Kuhlau sonatinas and was very pleased to find that all of them are still in print. It's great to have all of them, as they are very useful to me at this time in my life.

Easy format for piano players
I have been a fan of Schirmers piano music for 40 years. This is way better than the old Schirmers. The book has an easy to clean cover and the music is way easier to read. Pops off of the page.Kuhlau has remained the same. His music is fresh, with a hint of his friend Beethoven.

Terrible layout and awful music notation by Hal Leonard Publishers
Buyers beware! This is not a problem with the seller; this is a problem with the company Hal Leonard, which took over publishing the old Schirmer's music books. In this book, the paper is thin and the layout pays absolutely no attention to what a musician needs--intelligent line breaks and easy-to-read notation. If I could have these pieces in a book published by another published, I would gladly have paid more. For instance, Henle book are excellent, and many other publishers are also very good. Don't let the yellow cover fool you into thinking that this is a real Schirmer publication. It's not. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Hal Leonard, you won the battle by making $15.99 when I bought this book. You lost the war, because I'm never ordering another Hal Leonard music book. I'll print poor copies for free off the Internet and save my money for publishers who care about music and musicians, not just making money.

very good value
good deal for the whole set of kuhlau, my daughter is in need of complete sonatina and this is the last stop. No need to go through other books for Kuhlau. Although the sheet notes are so compact not good for her eyes.
