My 1.5 year old loves his "leash"! It helps to keep him safe when I take him on walks, as I usually have a few other kids with me as well. He can then walk safely, while I make sure he stays out of the road and can also pay attention to everyone else as we walk. I like this leash because it didn't come with a useless backpack, so he felt free to run around and it didn't add any bulk or heat to him. It clips on easily and is secure!

Yes this is a little flimsy and it runs small but it is cheap! It works great for my 2 year old but she is really tiny for her age. She can easily undue the top chest strap since its a simple snap button but she leaves the main clip alone and has no problem wearing this. I made my own leash for this and it was a life saver when we went on vacation.

This is one of these rare things I buy that don't get my comment "good, but if it only had this one more feature...". My harness also had no flaws. I am happy i got it, and is better tahn some other ones I had before.. It saved me a lot of headache with my, now 2.5 year-old, kid who has only known how to run ever since he started walking, and has put himself in dangerous situations many times. Some people look at me with dispise because it reminds them of a dog leash, but those people don't know how my life looks without the harness: I can grab the kid by his hand but soon he would be frustrated by the prison and start screaming. This way he runs around me, or we both run alongside until I can keep up. So he still has the freedom, and yet he can't run into a danger I can't save him from. For me, this is a must-have, literally.

I bought this so my 20 month old son could walk to get the mail instead of riding in the stroller. I love it! My son runs so I needed something to contain him as we walked. The leash is nice and long that as we walk, he has enough room to wonder and I can give or take as much slack as needed. I also use it while he is riding in a shopping cart because even when buckled in the cart with the cart straps, he can still climb out. No matter how much I tighten the cart straps, he wiggles out.The harness straps that hook into the cart are perfect because he cannot climb out of the cart, once he is wearing the harness and is strap in with both the harness and the cart straps. This product makes trips to the store better.

Too conpliced plus there is no clip for the leash on the harness you are expected to weave it through. Which is not reassuring.

Fits fine; priceless piece of mind both in crowds. A huge bonus was the side straps: they quickly snap on and adjust to fit strollers, shopping carts, high chairs, baby joggers, etc. so this was a phenomenal bonus. Buy a retractable pet leash to use with it for times when your child can safely take off far away- easy trail sections or no traffic around, then reel 'em in whenrhere is traffic or sketchy trail section.UPDATE-stitching came undone right away, rendering it useless; loose weave poly webbing very poor quality.

I purchased this mainly to secure my 9 month old granddaughter in shopping cart seats. When my children were small we mothers all had similar harnesses that we're made of a softer woven material and had back zippers. My youngest daughter had to be harnessed into everything so I had about 5 of them -- one in my purse at all times! Now the shopping carts and high chairs all have belts, but they weren't working with my granddaughter so I looked for something like what I had 30 - 40 years ago and this was the closest I could come. It is working well. If I know we are going somewhere where we will be using it, I put it on ahead of time, but I have also put it on her in the shopping cart. Regardless, you do have to unhook the sides and secure them around an appropriate bar and then rebook each side. I do not find this to be too time consuming, especially since it makes the shopping trip so much easier since I can use both hands instead of keeping one hand on her at all times. My granddaughter is small -- under 18 lbs -- so I used it just as it came out of the box. There is room for growth, but I agree with the reviewers who said that the model gives an unrealistic impression of size and age of the child that this would fit.

13mo old baby felt from her IKEA chair while she had the chair's belt on. I was sitting right next to her and just tured the head to feed her brother for a couple of seconds and she was down. I ordered this security harness the next day. It is absolutely perfect. She cannot get out of it by herself and it goes on all the chairs I tried. The quality is very good. It's very easy to put on; there is it opens totally on the front, no need to enter it by the head. I wash it often under running water with dish washing soap, very easy and it's dry until the next meal. I never tried the leash use.

We purchased this harness for our daughter's godmother who has two children under the ages of 18mths. The Baby Buddy Deluxe Security Harness allows your child its independence and yet still keeping them safe. We too had children 18mths apart and our eldest wanted to be able to walk freely while we pushed our little one in the stroller; however, we were concerned about her running away. How could we deal with one in the stroller and one on the lose? We found the harness was a perfect solution for both of us and it worked very well in teaching our daughter, although she was able to have her freedom, there was a limit to her boundaries. We know some might think or have heard the comments of those who foolishly state "it looks like your child is on a leash". We used our harness frequently and there was only one negative comment; however, we did receive many positive comments from those whom understand the heart and soul of a parent. The negative comment never bother us for we knew at end of our walk/journey, our daughter was coming home safe with us because we used the harness. It was with our experience in mind, we purchased the Baby Buddy Deluxe Security Harness for our daughter's godmother. She is now grateful to be able to give their child the freedom she desires, whilst having the security of knowing she is safe and within arms reach. Ordering on Amazon was easy, delivery was on time and the cost is priceless for the piece of mind you will receive.

A very good, universal, harness. I made a swing for my grandsons and needs a safety harness to fit on it. This filled the bill admirably.

I've used this to secure my daughter in her high chair and it has been excellent.
