iAV5v2 Color Changing Bluetooth Rechargeable Speaker for Amazon Echo Input and Echo Dot (2nd Generation)

**Update - device only supports Bluetooth so there is no audio Jack. This means the echo and speaker will not support Alexa multi-room music. If that is your intent you’ll want to consider a different device** Seems to work as advertised. Just received, so no idea how long it will last and what the battery life is, but sounds significantly better than the echo dot alone. I bought to use outside around the fire pit. Probably fine for a small office or room as well. It definitely isn’t a huge power output full sound, but for my use it works great and sounds actually better than I was anticipating. The lights are a nice bonus.

The Instructions could have added more information. I was so frustrated trying to connect it to my Alexa. So much so, I was ready to return it. I don't give us easily and I figured it out on my own by discovering it had connected to the Bluetooth in my phone instead. I think the Instructions should point this out. If I want to use sound from the mobile phone, I need to do it far away from the Alexa and put the speaker close to the phone. On the other hand, if I want to connect it to my Alexa, I need to put it close to the Alexa and take the phone out of the room. Overall, I love this Speaker. I gave four stars overall because the instructions were too brief and could have been expanded on.

I keep it plugged in because battery life is only about 12 hours. If you rely on the battery, it will be dead in there morning when you wake up. But it's a cool little addition to the entertainment center. The lights fit a family room. And Alexa works great with it.

I use this with Alexa and my only complaint is it won't hear me when I am talking to it. It is really loud.

This paired very well with my Echo input. It’s made for a 2nd gen Dot but it comes with an input adapter. When fully charged you can unplug and walk around with the input still engaged. Is it like a $200 speaker? No, but for the price the sound quality is good and you have a portable Alexa device!

The Dot I have, I think a 2nd gen, was always too low and hard to hear. This is a great addition. I plan to buy more for additional Echo's in the future. Bluetooth does connect well, just every couple of weeks it disconnects and can take a moment to re connect.

I Just love this Speaker!! I put my phone in it travel all over my 2 acres listening to Music and don't miss any Phone Calls! I also put it on my Deck and do my gardening around the Deck the sound is so Great!! A++++

Awesome speaker for my echo dot! It works perfectly and I love the portability. The battery charges quickly and lasts forever! Lighting mode includes multiple color sequences and has an off mode. Bluetooth rapidly connects as well.
