Mayday Games Agricola Meeples -25 Deluxe Wooden Farmer Set

We love playing Agricola and this just makes a nice addition to the gameplay. They are nice and large too, almost 1" (2.5cm or so). Sadly, my dogs found them before Christmas, so they've "played" some to death, but we still have plenty to play with.

I liked this addition for Agricola, but it does not come without any con. On the positive note, it allows the game to be more fun. The con is the pieces are rather large and a little shrinkage may be better. Obviously, you can play Agricola without Meeples, but they give the game some extra character! I find myself saying (or at least thinking): "I will send the wife to get that" or "I will use my kid to pick that up". It's kind of weird how it affects the game. We probably play Agricola an average of once a week but I have played it as often as 5 times in on one day. For you die-hard fans and wannabe fans, buy these now! They are cool!

These are purely for the visual aspect and add a nice touch to the beauty of the game. If you are only going to get one set of the extra wooden pieces for Agricola, get the Vegeemeeples. The Vegeemeeples also add to the playability of the game

Agricola should come packaged with these from the start. After all, really, wooden discs as your farmer family? These Meeples are well worth it, and they all stand upright in case anyone is wondering. No fabrication issues, nicely made. I'm glad they are available!

I think the person who put the purple people together was drunk. We ended up with two wives and a "gimpy" kid who is missing a foot. It's good for laughs every time though.

These meeples definitely add fun factor as an addition to the game Agricola. But a minor disappointment was that some of the colors didn't completly match the colors of your other pieces (fences, stables). You could always paint them the correct shade, but it shouldn't be too big of a deal if you are not a perfectionist.

Essential to complete your game. Much more fun than discs provided in std game

傑作ゲーム「アグリコラ」'にも'使える、農家の家族コマです。赤、青、緑、紫、白(木地)の5色、各5つずつの計25個の木製コマです。ひと目見た感想は「大きい!」でした。「お父さん」のコマの高さは3.5cmで、なかなか存在感があります。子供コマを倒しておけば「生まれたばかりの子供」を表現できるのは結構便利です。また、同社の資材トークンセットとあわせて使えばさらに見栄えがするので、ゲームを初めて見る人にも興味を持ってもらいやすくなります。難点は、変に小さなお子さんの興味を引いてしまい奪われやすいことと、やっぱり値段です(笑)資材トークンセットとあわせて買ったら、内容物の多いゲームが買える値段になっちゃいます。ただ、あればアグリコラがさらに楽しくなるのは確実です!

Slight colour inconsistency is ever so slightly annoying, but I'm so OCD that I have all the parts bagged up .... with labels on each bag. So I'm guessing most people won't even notice.Everyone I've played with has liked the addition to the counters :)
