I am so pleased I decided to purchase this. I had been wanting chafing dishes to keep food warm without drying out, but quickly realised that the ones I had in mind have probably not been available since Victorian days. I then decided that I had better just get another hot tray to compliment the two I already have, an electric one as opposed to the tealight version, I have both and consider electric better. My initial search flagged up this buffet tray which looked perfect and was very reasonably priced. I have used it 3 times now, including Christmas dinner and I don't know how I managed without it. It heats up quickly, keeps the food at the perfect temperature and has revolutionised my full English breakfast. No more keeping things hot in the oven where they dry out, overcook and someone always ignores the advice that the plates are too hot to handle without oven gloves. In all I can heartily recommend this tray to anyone who likes to cook and serve meals where many components need to be served at the same time. The only thing I would advise to anyone using this, it is stated that the trays and lids are dishwasher safe. For my part, I put the metal trays in there with no worries, but the plastic lids are the same type of plastic as the baskets on my old electric steamer (I have had 3 of these the same model as I liked the deep water collector and the baskets shattered when cleaned in the dishwasher over time). I have switched to another brand of steamer as the model I have always had is now obsolete and I would recommend handwashing the buffet tray lids. I have seen a few reviews about this item stating that the lids have cracked and split after a few uses so I elected to play safe and not put them in the dishwasher.

Why did I not buy one of these earlier! So useful. Really good size, keeps food lovely and hot. Good quality finish, seems fairly robust. Used it for bbqs so far, takes all the pressure off juggling food and trying to keep it warm. It is fairly large so takes up a lot of room but wouldn't be without it now. Highly recommend.

a basic food warmer ok for a small party the compartments could be larger because 3 or 4 people will probably empty it.it's fairly lightweight but easy to clean when donei don't know how much use it will get but it works fine

Keeps the food as hot as you like, used it plenty of times for a self serve breakfast for guests at our holiday lodge, sunday roasts etc. Highly recommend ! Wanted to get another but currently unavailable, hoping it comes back in stock soon.

Bought this for Christmas to keep food warm on the table. Buffet style. Couldn't be happier. Very excited and easy to use. Just plug and go.

This kept my food hot for hours when I was hosting a dinner and is easy to wash. The container are excellent and user friendly. The flex is a bit short therefore I used an extension but I am very happy with this otherwise. Can also be used as a hot plate

Overall good for keeping temperature, but a little hard to gauge the temp. Some of the stainless steel elements feel a little thin (but expected at the price point) and the plastic lids for the units are easy to chip/break so you'll need to be careful not to drop (like I did!). Stainless steel is easy to clean. I've only tested it once so far and is satisfactory.
