MERES 9.8ft Extension Cable for Amazon Echo Spot and Echo Dot 3 Gen Power Adapter Line - AC Adaptor Cord Extension

Purchased this cable to place my Echo Show 5 on a shelf which happened to be really far from an outlet, and needed the extra length to make it. Cable did the job and fit perfectly snug inside the Echo Show and male end of the OEM wall charger.Major Win: This cables makes for a fantastic makeshift corner adapter, as you can see from the pictures my Echo Show was a really snug fit on my shelf which unfortunately did not fit at first because both the OEM power cable and this one took too much space from the back.With a razor blade and 5 minutes of my time, I cut away some of the plastic around the male end of the cable and managed to fit my echo show on the shelf perfectly. For the record, I spent 3 hours looking for a corner adapter for this cable to my discovery that one doesn’t exist, so this was the best solution.

It took me a while to track down a power extension cord for the Echo Show 5 as I couldn't find anything specifically-titled as compatible with it. Note: This fits Echo Show 5(The little one); Not Echo Show 2nd Generation(Full size).Echo Dot 3rd Gen, Echo Spot, and Echo Show 5 all use a 15-watt(12 volts * 1.25 amps) adapter. I first tried to get a lower-priced cable that matched these, but unfortunately, the connection leads were too wide to plug in. This fits perfectly.Now, I run power along the wall, to my Echo Show 5, which is located on a shelf in my bathroom, far from the outlet.

Perfect! Just what we needed to power the Echo Dot 3rd gen. The cord from the first gen to the third gen was just enough different that it no longer reaches on top of my dresser. This provided power and matches the white close enough.

I bought this to extend the cord on an Echo Show 8 I have but it's not the right size. I tested it on an Echo Dot 3 and and Echo Show 5 and it fits both of those, but the Echo Show 8 has a bigger plug. This is not a bad review of the product, just trying to inform other users about it's potential fit.

Just what I needed! Great length, works well and the connections fit snugly. Besides working with the Echo Spot and Echo Dot 3, this also works with the Echo Show 5. Would buy again.

I'm disappointed. the diameter is slightly smaller than the echo dot 3rd gen. It does not fit solidly, but there is movement just by touching the cable, the difference is very small, but enough to create false contact. and my eho dot 3rd turns off if there's a little movement. see photos with diameter measurements.

Thank goodness for companies that make these products that the manufacturers don't make. The length of the Echo Dot I believe is about 6 feet, which is great for most applications but not for our living room. I ran this cable to the top of our fireplace mantle which allowed the dot to be centered between the living room and the kitchen (1 device to control both rooms). Saved me from buying a second Echo dot for the price of the cable.
