This is a great set!
I absolutely love it!.I received it today and have already had a pot of Oolong tea and it is perfect. The package was adequate for light shipping though I am not sure that would take a lot of banging around. the set was packed in a light corrugated tray with individual cells for each of the components with a slice of bubble wrap over the pieces and a clear acetate cover (Not very thick). This entire package was again packaed in another heavier corrugated case with lots of bubble wrap and Giant air Bubble loafs around the tea set.) There was no damage on the set I received, but clearly there was no damage on the exterior of the shipping case either. So I doubt it had been dropped. The case the set pieces was packed in is a throw away, just light corrugated and painted black. It made the set look attractive but is not heavy enough to use to display or store as it is very flexible. Not an issue for me as I am displaying the set on top of my microwave, not in the box.The set itself looks great. and I have wanted some of the small Chinese type cups for a while. There were no chips or any scratches on the set, though there was one small white spot where the paint looks like it just did not cover on one of the cups but a little bit of Black permanent marking took care of that. The set has a teapot will hold a little over 3 cups of tea (about 25 oz) and each of the cups will hold about 4 oz if filled to the brim. There is a strainer that goes in the pot under the lid. It is dome shaped and goes about 1 3/4 inches into the pot. I put 2 teabags in it without any issue though you really don't need it with bags.Overall I very, very pleased with the looks and usage of it.Addition: Other Reviewers are correct, there is no Wooden gift box. Just the light corrugated case on the one I got. The Bamboo Box have been nice.

I like that this came a day early
I like that this came a day early, and that it looks better than the picture. Though it's a bit on the small side I love it. Plus the box it came in is a cardboard box that is the only thing that concerns me.

Great set, except for one flaw.
I have to say the set was gorgeous in person, but the downside is there was a chip on the inside of the cup. That's a bit disappointing, but I didn't deem it worth sending back.

Very nice set.
I bought this with the intent to actually use it. I have and it's been great. I don't use the pot directly on the stove. Also always remember any ceramic pottery that you're going to drink from you to wash it out with boiling water first, to remove leftover contaminants.

Tea should taste good and be fun at the same time!
I've been collecting asian tea and sake sets for years, and this is the first time that I have seen a set like this one. It's makes even better having a cup of tea and enjoying it in a while new way. Thanks. Tressie

Hmm interesting
The "bamboo box" it comes in is a piece of crap, it's actually just regular ply wood. When I got it the box was wrapped in a plastic bag and when I took the bag off the box completely fell apart. My mother and I gasped and waited to see what the tea set woul look like min you it's Christmas Eve and this was a gift for my sister. However when we got rid of the packaging and the broken pieces if "bamboo box" the actual tea set was amazingly beautiful and actually exceeded my expectations. I wish they had of omitted the part about the box I would have been happy without it. Also the packaging is a little shady and nerve racking.

I got this for my soon to be sister in law and she loved it. Looks authentic and they are decently heavy which is awesome. She loves tea and the fact that there's a tea seeper inside the kettle she was in awe.

Rip Off
I purchased the tea set with the tray as a birthday gift. I watched as my friend opened her gift and cringed when I saw that the tray I purchased separately was so small, that the tea kettle did not fit it in it. The set is also pictured with 4 cups and I only received 2. I wasted my money.
