Wireless installation mode works great!
I recently mounted this Debark Smart Video Doorbell to my front door. It's obvious to anybody looking at it that it's watching them -- a nice deterrent. I have motion sensing on, so people don't even have to ring the doorbell and I know they are there almost instantly. The app might seem confusing, but if you click around, it's not hard to figure out how it works.Installation was difficult because the instructions weren't very clear. Therefore, here are the instructions you should follow (this does not cover the wiring of the doorbell as I didn't go that route):1) Unbox the product2) Pull the cover off of the back of the doorbell - it is a thin plastic plate that barely moves down the length of the doorbell, then pulls completely away: a) hold the doorbell in the palm of your hand, camera facing away from you b) the back of the doorbell (the cover) is a flat plactic piece that takes up the entire back - pull this down towards the bottom of the doorbell. When you pull it down, it will only go about 1/8 of an inch, and it will be a little difficult. I used a spot on the plastic that had some traction with my finger. c) put the back cover down3) While still holding the the doorbell with its back cover removed, open the large battery door. It opens just like a battery door would on a typical toy, via the little thumb tab. The battery cover is is large and takes up about half of the back of the doorbell -- in the part that you exposed when you removed the back cover.4) Pull out the two batteries, and on the negative end (the flat end), remove the little rubber piece. - I read a review somewhere where the person said to remove the green film from around the batteries. I'm not sure if that was necessary for some reason, but I didn't need to do that and everything works fine.5) Put the batteries back in, close the battery cover6) Find a micro-USB cord. You might have one from your android phone, or an old Blackberry phone, or any other device that uses Micro-USB. Plug this into a power source on one end, and plug the other end into the little micro-USB port on the back of the doorbell. Let it charge until it is done - I think the light turns blue when it's done.7) Unplug the micro-USB cord, and put the back cover on the doorbell8) Now, drill a couple of holes into wherever you plan to mount the doorbell - I took a small drill bit, drilled directly through the back cover where I intended to mount it. No way to mess it up doing this way. I drilled in about 1 inch.9) Put the screws through the holes in the back cover, antipating the direction you face it, knowing the doorbell will have to mount to it when you are done10) take the tiny screw that doesn't look like it goes anywyere, and screw it into the bottom of the doorbell -AFTER you have mounted the doorbell to its mounted back cover. The screw is what keeps the doorbell from being taken by a thief -- unless they have a phillips screwdriver... :/PAIRING THE INDOOR CHIME (IT REALLY DOES WORK!!!)To pair the indoor chime with your Debark doorbell:1) Make sure the DeBark doorbell is very close to your chime during initial setup - plug in the chime and just hold the debark doorbell in your hand if you want this to be easy.2) On the plugged in indoor chime that's still near the doorbell, there are two buttons: The small one is the volume button, the other are rocker buttons for cycling through chime music options. Hold down the small volume button for four seconds - you should see the music note light up in blue on the chime. Within a few seconds, press the doorbell button on the debark doorbell. The debark doorbell should then ring, and the chime should also ring.3) Now you may mount the Debark doorbell in its place, and plug in the indoor chime wherever you want it to be located.

So far, so good.
Just finished the setup, the installation, and field testing this product. So far, this Doorbell Wireless Camera is the best one for this price I have tested so far. The camera is incredibly clear with a very efficient angle for any front/back home door. The night vision is absolutely perfect for the price of this product. The audio is almost perfect, with only a second-to-second and a half lag. The only negative thing I could possibly say about this system, is that the doorbell itself has too many options as the ring tones. Over 50 seems a little over ambitious to me, however I'm complaining due to the fact that there is an ABUNDANCE of options. I will continue to test this system and update the status, but as of right now I have to give this product 5 stars. Well done DEBARK. Note for the picture: I have left the plastic cover on as of right now, which you can see from the circle distortion in the picture. Weather is coming in and I wanted to protect the camera as much as possible for its first night out.UPDATED: Camera and speaker work amazing. Only issue is that the motion sensor is really, really sensitive. On the lowest setting, that American flag waving in the wind, around a column in the picture sets it off on windy days. Also, had to recharge the battery on 28 November.

Strip the battery
The smart door bell is nice. Aesthetically it is pretty. The set up is very detailed. EXCEPT:be aware that the battery insulator is the double green wrap and yellow tight wrap. Strip those two off, then charge. Not everyone knows what an insulator is. Also you will need to slide the back off. compress front to back then slide hands up down in opposite directions.

Very pleased thus far
I really like this so far. I was able to install it myself, and it was fairly straightforward to install and assemble. I do wish the directions were proofread by someone because it was a little hard to pinpoint how to disassemble the back (push down, but you need to separate the back piece to drill the holes in the wall). It was also unclear how to get the batteries ready to use (take the little, circular piece off the bottom- I never used those kind of batteries before) and how to pair the doorbell (be patient- it took me almost 45 seconds to get the light to blink). Beyond that, easy. And LOVE the no subscription fee, no wiring and it has a doorbell.

How to set up the camera
Don’t start at the front of the Quick Start Guideline. You should remove the back before doing anything else.To remove the back, hold the camera in one hand and push down on the back. The back is very thin so get a good grip on it and before pushing it down. It will move about ¼ inch and then you can pull it out and away from the camera.Page 13 of the Guideline shows how to mount the camera to the wall. Now read Page 12 which is labeled Attention: Step 4 says to remove the insulation from the battery. To remove the insulation, first remove the batteries and peel off the tape from the flat end. Mine had sticky glue residue which I had to clean off before re-inserting the batteries. Be sure the batteries are chargedNow you can start at the beginning of the Quick Start Guideline which is actually a good procedure to set up your camera. After your camera is paired and operating go to page 15-21 to add another phone and find some explanation of how to set up the App

Instructions are not very clear. But device works as expected.
Instructions could be much better. Lost a lot of time trying to remove mounting plate (just slide up or down from main body). Did not work hard mount, so I used adhesive. Easy to connect to WIFI and Bluetooth for external bell. Move ext doorbell closer if mounting cam on metal ext door; Bluetooth signal hard to reach through door.Picture is beautiful and notifications work as expected.
