Mummy, why are you in the book?
Absolutely love this book (huge Anne fan), it's lovely to have her pictures in one place. I have quite a few canvases and have had lots of her calendars. I have always though I should be able to draw like she does and yet I, very sadly, lack her talent. When I got to "Blood Moon" my daughter asked why I was in the book because I do look a bit like the vampire (minus the fangs and blood), it made me both laugh and feel....well....quite pleased really.

A beautifully looking book, worth every penny and worth 5 stars
A beautiful book with some stunning artwork. I haven’t had much of a chance to sit and read this book properly but have had a quick look through. The book itself is a lovely and well made book and one I’m sure I’ll enjoy once settled into my new home. Being a fan of most things that include dragons and other’s of the like, it’s so nice to come across a book with very detailed drawings. I’m by no means a ‘ Gothic ‘ but I cannot help liking some of the Gothic fantasy world. Well worth the money as the creator of this book has really taken some time and thought about putting this beautiful book together and sharing the vision of her work. As soon as I get the chance to sit and read properly, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

A remarkable woman and a remarkable book
This book is fantastic, everything and more for any Anne Stokes fan!! It was interesting reading about her ideas and how she got into her art which, is always incredibly beautiful and her art portrays women in a good way, her images are all over the world but to have 1 book with most of my favourite images is perfect as her pictures reach you in an amazing way. Im not a very well person but every time I pick up and look through the pictures it really helps and I always end up smiling.

Beautifully illustrated
Beautifully illustrated throughout, with sections on Anne Stokes's career and comments on individual pieces, my one criticism was that apart from the Steam Punk playing cards at the end, the Nazgul Guitarist, and Death dancing with a woman, the protagonists were females with fantastic beasts (dragons/unicorns/Pegasus). Amongst the maidens, elves, mermaids, sorceresses, vampire queens, I expected a few warriors and wizards. But then Anne Stokes is apparently known for her depiction of strong females so this is my fault not hers.

Stunning
I love Anne Stokes work and her book is more than just a collection of pictures. It tells you of her dream, as a young girl, to become an artist and how she thinks about her art.It attracted attention on arrival, with young and old alike. It makes a great conversation piece. It is a high quality production, full gloss from cover to cover.Lets you know what she encounter when starting - Not going to spoil the fun though, I will let you enjoy the read for yourself!
