Great compressor and the price makes it the best all around option.
I have a Behringer compressor/sustainer that I got for about $25 but it was just a bit too noisy due to the sustainer circuit. I switched to this because it was around the same price point but in a metal enclosure, unlike the Behringer and was a pure compressor. I find this a better option than the Behringer. It's quiet, around the same price point and also has a cool design on the pedal. I also like the softer switch that is on it and the blue LED light for when it is on. It is really convenient for when playing without shoes at home. The compressor sound itself is great. It has a lot of compression on tap and the EQ and Level really help you get your sound in just the right place.Over-all, good purchase and will probably stay on my board for quite some time.

Great for the price
No complaints it does exactly what I had hoped with no unwanted noise. Much cheaper than other compressors and for my needs it is everything I had hoped for tone wise.

Baby’s first compressor. Simple. Works.
Level knob for equalizing the post-compressor volume. Eq knob feels like a high/low pass filter. 12 o’clock is flat. Turn it left and the treble disappears. Turn it right and the bass fades out. Compression knob increases the compression.Although some say you should put it up front immediately after the tuner, Compression can be used anywhere in your signal chain. Some effects, like envelope filters for instance, are more sensitive to dynamics. So you’ll probably want the compressor *after* those. But there is, apparently, one hard and fast rule. Don’t put a Compressor in a parallel effects *loop*. It won’t behave properly.

Great budget compressor
Not as squishy as a high-end pedal but this definitely cleans up dynamics in a subtle way, which is what I needed. Feels a bit light but I guess adhering it to a pedalboard takes care of that problem. Also, the rubber feet come separately so the user can choose whether or not to have them on. MUCH APPRECIATED! All pedal makers should take this route.Edit- I wrote this review after a couple weeks of using the pedal with a SC guitar, but just tried it with a humbucker equipped guitar. The compression is much more present with humbuckers! Great if you're into that, easy to take it down with knobs.

Doesn't work for me
I'm not going to trash this product, but I have to give honest opinion. The effect is very subtle, or very strong. I cannot dial it in, for my taste.

After 25 years of guita playing, I've found the best budget compressor
I've acquired quite the collection of pedals over the last 25 years and this is now one of my favorite compressor pedals of all time. Many compressors, even high dollar models, have a tendency to drop out some bottom end when engaged. You can dial it back in at the amp but the moment you switch off the pedal it throws off your EQ again. Having an EQ knob on the compressor solves this problem, and what makes it great is that the knob is completely usable. It's range works great for single coil and humbucker tones. The compression knob is also very usable. From almost no perceived compression, to very squishy country chicken-pickin goodness.Next to my other pedals, the enclosure is seemingly just as solid but less attention was paid to a quality finish job - but who cares as long as it sounds good?At all settings there was zero noise, even when paired with three other pedals (overdrive, clean boost and digital reverb). If you notice noise with this compressor, be sure you put it before your overdrive pedals... it should be early in the chain of not your first pedal.

Not bad at all
For the price this is definitely worth it. since finding comparable compressors cost a lot more.

Unuseable
This thing is trash. Completely useless. It may compress your signal, but all I really notice is a complete tone suck when it’s engaged. The literal only reason I’m keeping it is the enclosure is good enough for me to keep for a future pedal build project.
