HellaH87988421 Color Shieldz Blue Protective Laminate for 500 / 500FF Series Lamps

These are really nice and work great. I was initially a bit put off when I opened the package and saw they were simply two thick plastic "gells" that you apply like a sticker on the lenses of your 500 series driving lamps. I was expecting "Snap-on" covers. But the application couldn't be easier and went flawlessly. The lights look GREAT, a major improvement on the way they look on my Ridgeline. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for something a bit more distinctive than the plain old white lens. I saw they also come in a yellow tint as well. I am using the plastic rock guards along with the lens laminate and the look is outstanding! They are a permanent addition in my opinion so if you expect to use and remove and then re-apply I don't think that is going to fly.

I thought they'd be thin and flimsy, but are actually fairly thick and seem like they'll last. Installation was straightforward and luckily, these don't have a tendency to trap air bubbles underneath. The blue turns the yellow-white beams of my Hellas into the more easy on the eyes and better defined blueish-white, almost the same shade as my LED headlights. I simply took of my Hella rock protectors that I run over the lens at all times, cleaned the glass really well, decided where I wanted to start placing them on the light (center), peeled away some of the adhesive backing and using a plastic smoother/scraper I already had from other decal installs, started to gently apply from the center to the outsides. Once that was done, and there were no bubbles, I took an old soft shirt and used a bit more force going around the shields to make sure they were really applied well. Put my guards back in place and was done with both from start to finish in under 10 minutes.

The laminate looks as though it will do the job of making the lighter a whiter light at night, but time will be the factor on how long they last.

Very easy to apply and reposition. Beautiful. The hardest part of the installation is cutting off the tabs. Replaced after 5 years because they had become nearly colorless. Great protection for your lights!

These are extremely easy to install are thick enough to offer some protection against gravel and look dead wonderful without effecting light output much at all. They arrived quickly. IMO recommended.

I like the color blue, than I installed those blue shieldz on my Hella 500 and it give me some great looking whiter/blue ray of light on the road alike a xenon light look!!!!! Love it!! :-)

Just O.K., wish Hella still made the good colored lights in Germany, easy to put on and look good ,but probably won't last long.

Yes they are excellent. Love them makes a big difference makes everything look better and makes ugly light look much better
