Once warm, this heated pad is very cozy. It takes a bit of time to preheat and it appears to heat up using 45-55 watts of power, so there is no huge power draw or lights flickering. In my case it took about 30-40 minutes to heat up to high (5 dots). some of this could have been my getting use to the remote and hitting different buttons during that time. The remote is simple to use. The power cord is two cords together: one goes from the remote to the plug and is joined by the other coming from the pad to the remote. If your table is not directly behind the power outlet, it is difficult to keep the remote head stable on the table or night stand. There are rubber stoppers on the bottom of the remote, but they did little to keep the remote on the table because the joined cords were going in different direction. Therefore, I ended up using small pieces of double stick tape to keep the remote in one location and to prevent if from slipping off the back of the table. It retains heat for sometime after powering off. There is no auto shutoff (or I don't know how to do it). Instructions are basic (all words, no pics). On high, this pad gets very hot. It does not feels as hot with the palm of your hand, but once you lay on it you can tell it gets real hot. You can tell the power comes from the foot of the bed at the plug in point. So there is more heat in that area to start. Once fully heated you can feel the warmth all over, but the feet seems a little warmer to me. It the XL size fits well on one side of a split-queen. Length is perfect and width is a little bit wider than the split size, but that makes it roll down the side of the bed, about 20 inches so, keeping the thighs warm if you are sitting on the side of the bed. All in all, this is a great product and I wish I had gotten one sooner. It works really well to sooth muscle and joint pains, or just warm you up on those chilly days, and makes the bed cozy for sleeping. I recommend this and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Our old heated mattress pad stopped working on one side so we had to replace it. This one seemed like a good choice. So far it's working well. We only turn on the "pre-heat" button 30 minutes or so before going to bed, then the bed is toasty warm when we climb in. We turn it off after getting in bed. Sometimes my wife will turn it back on briefly during the night if she gets cold.One oddity: The Amazon listing and the box it comes in says the pad is a cotton blend. That's why we got it. However, the label affixed to the pad says 100% polyester. I'm not sure if the label is for the entire pad or just the fill. In any event, it's a nice product.

I thought my heated blanket went out because we kept popping the breaker. So I ordered this to replace it! Turns out we popped the breaker again…..😂🤣Seems that it is just the arc fault breaker. It just doesn’t like them…..any way, it works great! Love the heat under my body instead of on top. You don’t sweat. I like that there are multiple settings and it is a mattress hugger.Now I have a blanket for camping! 🤪

UPDATE, emailed about the warranty and they quickly shipped me a new one. Love it, use it every night.I was even out of town for 2.5 weeks so it hasn’t seen daily use, but half of the pad is freezing cold. Return window just closed thru Amazon so I reached out to the manufacturer, waiting on response and will update with results, as of now I’m disappointed and cold.

I am a retired design engineer. I don't normally give five stars, but am giving this five stars and here is why...:This heating pad was easy to figure out. But the particular independent controls (5 levels up or down, preheat and power on-off) and how they hook up definitely deserves five stars. This is just what I was looking for! at the base of the side-skirt of the heating pad assembly are embroydered access ports that can be tucked under you mattress or bed frame. Cords ate not cumbersome and the best part... Independent 5-levels for left side and same with right side. No cross-wiring between sides.My wife has her half of the King size bed and I have my half. At night we don't mind colder temps in the house if we have our heating pads on. We have only used it two nights and very happy. As for durability, YES! This pad, even the deep 15" side skirt. Our bed is a king high quality medium firmness thick memory foam mattress with a 3-inch bamboo fiber memory foam pad and this heating pad. Awesome night's rest. The control I like on level-2 and my wife on level-1. It's absolutely a great bed to sleep in. If you are hesitating on this one, don't! It's a good mattress pad.Worth the price, easy to figure out. I am happy I purchased this product.

This pad is the best I've ever purchased; I always used mattress pads and this one is soft and plush!

Sometimes it feels like it is not even on. I bought this because at the moment I live in a very cold apartment due to poor insulation and even poorer heat circulation. Normally these products are enough to make it tolerable. However this new one I’m disappointed to learn is not as hot as the others. I wish they had posted in the description how hot it gets.I also was disappointed to learn that that this one (I purchased the full bed option) does not have two heat controllers for both sides of the bed as described in the product description. I understand that it was probably only for queens or king beds, but I feel that it could’ve been communicated better in the product description.Overall, I’d say this product is probably good for summer months, or if you just want to be able to turn the heat up to full blast easily without having the heat be too high. (Power turns it on to max heat, so don’t have to push the button a bunch to get to that max heat output. Probably my favorite thing about the product and why I haven’t returned it despite my qualms. Will take my own advice and use it in the summer for now).

I am adding to my previous review as the company that distributes the mattress pad will honour its guarantee and is sending me a new one. That is really awesome service. So my review fit the pad itself…. When working as it should - is 5/5I ordered this item in September 2020, so it worked for two winters. The wires are fine, the connections are secure - it just doesn’t work. I don’t know what the answer is. This is the third electric bed pad I had in three years! At least this one worked for 2 years! (Or roughly 12 months as it isn’t used in summer). I don’t know the solution. If you’re arthritic, it is worth some money, but I don’t know why they have to be so shoddy

Love the preheat feature i set it on lowest and use the preheat so i feel all the heat when i go to bed but dont wake up to hot because it cools to lower setting
