Shaft is .500 in diameter with 3/8 16 thread per inch total length of shaft is 2 1/4 in Long my old pump was aluminum and it was 5/8 and longer had to move pump up approximately 5/8 of an inch pipes were all flexible on my hot tub way easier to change than I thought make sure you watch more than one video on YouTube first

I have an older hot tub and during regular maintenance I noticed the pump leaking. I wanted the tub usable in a few days so I took a chance and ordered this pump as it could be delivered in two days. The only markings on my pump that was readable was the frame size 56Y. The pump fit on the motor shaft just fine but the threaded inserts to hold the pump to the motor are in the wrong holes. (As noted in other reviews). I had to purchase these at a local hardware store. Other than that, it works just fine.

The brass screws in the back are in the wrong holes, I have to pull them from the old housing ( really hard task ) and hammer back into the new head housing ( scary task )

Wow this is just what the doctor ordered. It’s not a “walk in the park” to institute its well worth the effort. My spa repair people said they don’t rebuild the pump and would charge $450 to replace the pump. This and some effort saved me over $350 and it works like new.

Part was defective and seller stated 30 days had passed so they would not accept a return

We bought a home with a hot tub that was left unheated with water in it and it froze and cracked the waterway. It fit perfect and came with a new impeller and mechanical seal. No leaks and works like it should.
