Sturdy and functional
This item works well for protecting the blades of the skates. It holds up well when practicing even at home without damaging the blades. I would highly recommend it

Essential for figure skate blade integrity.
Just a heads up: these are for figure skates, not hockey skates.Walking on hard ground and even matted areas often leads to damage/dulling of the blades. Wearing hard skate guards such as these will help prevent this from happening. However, make sure you wipe off your blades before putting them back into these guards, because water can get trapped and cause the blades to rust (a pair of soft blade guards may be useful here as well).These guards may not fit your skates exactly when assembled. If you own large skates (size 9+), you may have to stretch the guards to fit them, which will leave a small part in the center exposed (which is fine, because it shouldn't touch the floor). Smaller skates will require you to cut sections off manually (as per the instructions).

Barely fits 10-1/2 figure blade
Smallish, there’s a good 1/2” gap between pieces on low/mid level 10-1/2” figure skating blades. Skate size adult women’s 8. Usually I need to cut this style down to fit the blades but this time I just attached the springs and was done!Will work for rec skating. Would recommend a longer blade guard for weekly use or upper level lessons.

Not as advertised
The guards are great in comparison to the old version, but it was advertised (Check description) that it would be 12 inches. My blades are 10 and 1/4 inches and they do not fit. On the instructions it says that if the center gap is more than 3/4" I would need to contact the retailer for a larger sized guard. I will do my best to contact the retailer for this larger guard.Edit: they contacted me and gladly helped me out, unfortunately they didn't have longer guards but offered me a great solution. Thank you so much!

The max size is about 260mm and if your skate shoe size is bigger it is better to check with the seller to make sure it ...
My son already used it for a few days. There is no issue with it. The only concern I have is the size. It didn't mention its size at all. The max size is about 260mm and if your skate shoe size is bigger it is better to check with the seller to make sure it fits. My son's skate has a size of 6.5 or 7 and we didn't cut anything out and it fits perfect.
