The lights are great; their customer service is outstanding.
I've ordered several sets of these lights over time; initially I bought them as holiday lights to hang on my tree in front. They were such a hit with my neighbors I've left them up year round. Recently a set failed to work; I sent a note to the manufacturer asking about a warranty and, they promptly sent a replacement set at no cost. I really appreciated that.

Christmas Fairy Lights
I wanted a set of fairy lights for use with a miniature tree. I wanted one with multiple light modes and this was the shortest one I could find. I thought it would be overkill for the size of the tree I got (18") but it worked out fine. In fact, due to the spacing between the lights, I would've actually preferred an additional foot or two to fill out a couple of spaces that seemed empty from different angles. The lights went all the way up the tree, down, and then back up a couple of rotations. From the front it appeared to fill it out nicely. The sides were slightly less impressive, but that's probably due to my wrapping rather than the product length. The light modes are nice, however I wish it had a slow blinking mode. Mode #1 is the slowest the blinking goes, and it alternates between a medium-speed blink and a rapid blinking. Mode #2 is the combination, it cycles through almost all of the modes (except the last, steady, which is a shame. It would've been nice if the patterns were broken up occasionally by a few moments of steady lights.)One mode is super-rapid flashing, I think it's mode #4. Be very careful of this if you have anyone in the house who is epileptic. It's not pleasant to look at, and is so fast my digital camera cannot record it. It appears to be blinking at a normal speed to the camera. The two fade modes are super-slow. A little too slow, in my opinion. In all modes except steady and fade, the patterns alternate speed. One will be faster than the other. The lights when they alternate go in the same sequence, red/yellow and green/blue. Those colors are linked and every pattern that blinks or alternates goes by that grouping. I wish one of the flashing modes would make them randomly blink.Battery life seems to be decent for what it is. The first two days I used the timer, but on the third I just turned them on and left them on. I started out with the medium/fast blinking for a day or two then switched to combination, and left it there for the next four days.By day four overall, I noticed the lights were a little dimmer. Day six the output was noticeably dimmer. Day nine the yellow was almost gone, and the red not far behind. Green remained the brightest until I changed the batteries. That's probably due to a combination of that particular color being the lowest-power of the four, and the fact that our eyes are more sensitive to green than any other color. For an 18' strand of lights, I don't think this is too bad. Note that due to the way LEDs work, unlike incandescent bulbs they actually last longer on power when flashing because there are moments when the bulbs aren't using juice, and there's no higher initial surge they require to light like incandescents. So if you put them on one flashing pattern, they'll last longer than on steady. And if you use them on the timer feature, they'd probably last for weeks before needing a battery change. The remote feature worked well, however you do have to point it at the box. That was to be expected however and is not a negative. The battery box contains a button you can use to cycle the modes, but you will be unable to use the timer feature without the remote. The battery box has snaps to close it and the instructions claim it is water-tight. I didn't try (nor would I) but it seems safe if you wanted to use them outside in the rain, the battery box would probably stay dry.The only real problem was when I was unwrapping them. Instead of using a twist-tie to keep the lights in a coil, they use the light's wires themselves, taking the end and wrapping it around and THROUGH the separate wires multiple times. This is obnoxious to work out, so be sure to have a flat surface and take your time so you don't damage the wires.I do wish there were a few more/different modes and I really wish there was a unit like this that was powered off a USB cable, but overall I am really happy about the lights.

Nice lights-not so nice remote
The lights - Just finished year 5 and they are super. The batteries last quite a while in cold Northern NY winter weather. The remote - not so good. I have searched and tried different suggestions but no luck. I have to go out every night and turn them on then go back out and turn them off. Not fun when it’s cold and windy.

The brightness.
I like the timer and auto on/off but the lights are VERY dull compared to electrical lights. I could use electrical lights for lighting my kitchen area in the evening but battery lights are too weak.

Best and Brightest!
These lights have been working since night one 20 days ago. Timer works perfectly and they are just as bright as night 1. These are the best and brightest and will be my go to brand for years to come. I bought them in previous years and they were great so I tried again and they were even better!

Mine had no remote.
I did not get a remote. The worst things was that the batteries were so so hard to insert correctly. Seriously you had to get them just right or they would slide off the posts. I've put in a lot of batteries and these were super difficult to put in place so they would operate correctly. Other than that they were great. Just be forewarned.

Loved getting these for my apartments balcony. The multiple color light options were great! I loved that it had a timer and it was long enough too. Great price value and looked pretty.
