I can't put this bible down!
What a perfect size. The font is totally readable and enhances the experience (way to go 2K/Denmark). The layout is an invitation to read: simple bible text with little to no distractions. References on the sides of the page are a great idea. All the references you might desire are there but they're out of the way - they don't interfere with your ability to pay attention to the bible text. The slightly cream toned white paper is sublime: wonderfully opaque and easy to page turn. The line matched text solves ghosting issues you've doubtlessly hated in previous bibles. I LOVE the red text (not words of Christ in red, this is a black letter edition) - it is the perfect artistic accent and it's functional as well. The red under gold art gilt page edging is so beautiful. It's a joy to open this bible up to see that red tone appear - a red tone matched to the red text (wow!). And even the three double sided silk ribbons (two black, one red) match the overall design of the bible. The goatskin is ... amazing ... this is my first goatskin bible and I'll not go back to any other type of leather again. It is nicely floppy on the first day. The bible feels like it is fully broken in on the first day you open it. The leather has a nice (naturally) pebbly texture but also feels somewhat smooth and is edge sewn for years of use. The edge gilt on the inside of the cover is beautifully done and perfectly frames the text block when the bible lies open - which it does flawlessly. The spine of the bible lacks raised dividers instead having printed dividers. They do the job nicely and the dual thin gold lines at each location is a very nice artistic touch adding to the overall presentation of the finished product. Simple text on the spine tastefully complete the overall design: HOLY BIBLE ... New King James Version ... Thomas Nelson. Nothing else is needed.Things that are somewhat unimportant to me but should be mentioned in case these matter to you: the bible maps are nicely done and the sizable concordance is impressive (albeit the font is a bit small).Note I'm in my 60's now and I've noticed many of my old bibles (old, dear friends) seem to have shrinking text recently. Ah, 60's ... oh joy. That is what drove me to seek out bibles with the 2K/Denmark fonts. This has been such a delightful surprise. The bible is a complete invitation to read. I read it daily and wish I had more time to devote to it. This is, to date, the best bible I've ever owned at any price point. I gladly give this bible my highest recommendation.

Beautiful Bible for personal use or “gifting"
This is an easy-to-understand translation, which remains true to the original text. The study notes on every page are very helpful, without adding excessive editorial opinions. This makes it an ideal Bible for new or novice Bible-readers! Be aware that this Bible is large and heavy, but the print size is comfortable for older eyes—it’s a perfect Bible for at-home reading and study. The quality of the binding and pages is beautiful, making this perfect for meaningful gift-giving. I’ve purchased multiple copies for “gifting” to others!

Beautiful and amazing study bible! Worth every penny!
This Bible is wonderful and easy to read. It's the NKJV and very easy to understand and insightful. I've bought several Bibles, but this is by far one the best and my favorite. If you want a Bible to study the word of God, this is wonderful with references. It will not disappoint you at all.

Truly Spirit-filled
I absolutely love this Bible! The various aspects like “kingdom dynamics”, “truth in action”, and “word wealth” makes reading a wonderful adventure of increased knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. I love that the commentaries include how the work of the Spirit is woven into the entire Bible. I also love the light blue and gold color accents; the words jumps out at you. This is the best study Bible I have ever owned.

1st- I love The New Spirit Filled Bible. It is full of word studies, background information, and notes. It dives deeply and purposes to facilitate learning God's Word.2nd- I want to address some claims of other reviews. One reviewer said he could not recommend this version as he had issues with the prosperity gospel, as I do as well. The Spirit Filled Bible does NOT promote the prosperity gospel anywhere that I can find. When reading the notes he referenced 'get your miracle' in Matthew 6:33 it is actually called Pathway if Miracles. This Kingdom Dynamic actually says the opposite, you need to put your focus on God's Kingdom 1st. The author writing this section may believe in the prosperity gospel but it is not espoused in this Bible. As a note I also love to use my CSB bible, which was translated by the Southern Baptist. If I dove into every commentor in the CSB Bible I am sure I can find some extra theology that I would not agree with, but I wont stop using my CSB.Many at our church read the CSB even though we are not Calvanists. Why, because it is translated well and accurately, I do not have to agree with all the commentators views. The same goes for this version.3rd- I really love this version because it helps believers learn and grow in the Holy Spirit. Growing up Baptist, we learned that God is 3-in-1: the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. I got lots of teaching on God the Father Creator, God the Son, and nothing on God the Holy Spirit. I wondered why we didn't talk about the 3rd person in the trinity in which we believed in. We receive Him when we accept Christ as our Savior. He is real, He is the Comforter, Counselor and Empowerer to Christians lives. This Spirit Filled Bible is here to help you grow and learn more about the Holy Spirit. If you are truly interested in growing as a believer, I highly recommend this.

Its the one: Chunky Hand Size, Ultra-Readable bible with premium bible features at half the price.
If you want a premium bible. Goatskin cover, Leather lined, edge lined, sewn edges, loosely sewn binding, red under gold art gilt page edges, line matching, premium bible paper, custom digital font with red accents, but you want it for half the price other bibles with those features go for on Amazon, this is the one.If you want a hand size bible, something you can read from or preach from on a desk OR in a hand, comfortably? This is the one. It is chunky, but its as hold-able as a "personal size bible" if not as back pocket-able. Roughly 9x6x2.There are reference bibles and then there are readers bibles. Reference bibles have things that help you get to the verse faster, chapter and verse numbers, references, concordances, layouts conducive to finding the verse or topic. Then there are reader's bibles, they facilitate reading God's word by the chapter, or the book, or the testament. They present the text free of distraction laid out in the most readable fashion. SINCETHEBIBLEWASFIRSTCIRCULATEDASADOCUMENTTHATLOOKEDLIKETHIS. We've largely been adding features which facilitate both uses of God's Word. The last 500 years of Bible design, however, is largely the history of the reference bible. If you are looking for a text which is a jack of both trades, but are willing to tolerate it being a master of less, than this bible is for you. Its nearly 2" spine allows the line spacing and font to be /extremely/ generous for bibles of this page dimension. In fact, the paper is rather thin for how thick it is to accommodate an even more generous font. The result is that a hand bible is legible to this not-near-sighted individual. Its laid out in paragraph, so that reading is a more natural experience, section headings break up the text into reading-friendly chunks while also assisting in orienting the page-flipper. The chapter in verse numbers are present, but smaller and superscript so they get in the way of reading less (though more than a readers bible none of them.) The reference suite and translation notes are extremely thorough to assist with reference and study, but they are arranged like handlebars for the bible, safely away from any easily-distracted eye. The single column layout is huge for readability, but (1) forces Thomas Nelson to make the bible thicker, and (2) makes it slightly harder to comb the text. I think they have done a great job at making the line width manageable at 6-10 words across and have other features that orient the page-flipper enough to justify this layout. This bible is a good one for walking the line between a reader and a reference. The translation uses the same Greek and Hebrew texts relied on by the 1611 King James Authorized Version translators, but uses the footnotes to enlighten the reader on the latest developments from a variety of biblical sources on what new scholarship is saying about textual variances translation. It walks the boundary between the classic form and grammatical structure of those classic biblical texts in the KJV, while reading easy to a Modern and containing modern perspectives on the development of the manuscript tradition (like the discovery of many, later manuscripts and few, very early manuscripts and how they differ from whats being worked with in the text.)I strongly believe every believer should crack their bible, consume the text, become Biblene: such that if they were cut, they would bleed bible. Its part of our understanding the God of our communion in prayer, its part of our sanctification, its a source of wisdom, and it is THE objective standard for understanding in the Christian Worldview. I also strongly believe that every believer should eat one bible in particular. Get to know one copy of the text. Learn where Isaiah 8, Mathew 6, Genesis 3 and Psalm 23 are in a single page flip. Get quoting your translation. For me, this is the one. I read, I witness, I discuss, I study and even preach. These multifaceted tasks require reference, long reading, notation and study guides. I might need many bibles (which I have) for these purposes, but given the need for a primary bible, and given this one's versatility and value, this is The One for me.
