These come in handy for all sorts of things. My latest use is to hang and store ribbon.

I bought these for windows, the frames of which are painted in semi-gloss. I just could not get the rods to stay in place securely. I thought at first it was the semi-gloss, but even after tightening, the springs just came "unsprung" and the rod slipped. I've used tension rods many times over the years, and never had this issue.

I found these rods disappointing. Not enough tension. I took the tips off and used them on my old rods.

Absolutely love this. Only complaint is they seem to unwind a little. They don’t stay in place. Solved this problem with some gorilla glue.

Won't stay put

These are great little extension rods. Better than average and far better than most I’ve seen in stores when looking. I’m using to hold pans in place in my cabinet and it does that job great. Only issue is durability. They are sturdy and easy to use but I gave it 4 stars, not 5, because long term durability is questionable (like most all extension rods). If put in a high traffic, often being brushed against, weight put in then removed or even daily as a towel hanger these would perform better than most but still have a short lifespan. For the money, amount you get and quality, you can’t beat this product. I’d buy these again.
