Housefull DVD Single Disc UK Release

This is a must have BLU-RAY. I have watched this film in the cinema it was outstanding bright cheerfull and funny, but i have got to say the quality on BLU-RAY kills the quality you get in the cinema. The sound effects on BLU-RAY are absoultely amazing crystal clear and the picture quality as i said beats cinema quality to the max. Now coming to the movie the movie is a comedy every bit would make you laugh superb performance by Boman Irani and Ritesh Deshmukh, and when watching on BLU-RAY just too good you can for example see every little detail in the trees and water and every little surroundings, objects etc and the characters facial hair outshow due to the sharpness, you can see the cold breath coming out of their mouths which cant even be spotted in the cinema. Overall the point is a fantastic movie and on BLU-RAY it is a life time expereince.

Very funny film, just what the doctor ordered.

Item received in excellent condition very quickly. My husband has been after the DVD since seeing it at the cinema last year. A big budget bollywood film...

Akshay Kumar stars in a high production values film as Aarush the unluckiest man in the world - so unlucky that a casino pays him to walk through & jinx the players. When his girlfriend rejects him, he returns to London to stay with his only friend Bob (Ritesh Deshmukh)- with predictably disastrous but hilarious consequences.If you like screwball comedy with some genuine pathos, this is one for you. While Aarush struggles to find true love in despite of his ill luck and Bob's wife Hetal (Lara Dutta) tries to reconcile with her estranged father, you watch half in horror and half laughing as all the characters dig themselves deeper into a chaotic tangle of deception - but always from the best intentions. Ok, you have a fair idea where the film is heading but a classy supporting cast and some excellent comic set pieces will still reduce you to hysterics. And the lookalike Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla in the climactic scenes are the best I've seen, adding nicely to the humour.The locations are glamourous with beautiful Italian beaches, a stunning millionaire's mansion and London looking fantastic, the songs are catchy and the subtitles excellent. A colourful, funny, fun film.

Another wannabe comedy from Bollywood. Totally unfunny with juvenile jokes and crude pranks. As I have said elsewhere, Bollywood has a lot of catching up to do on comedies and perhaps should concentrate on social movies which is its forte!!!It was a chore to sit through 3 DVDs exceeding 4 hours of viewing time!!

Ein genialer Film für eingefleischte Bollywood-Fans! Die Darsteller sind - jeder in seiner Rolle - super! Indisches "Getue" wie es leibt und lebt. Ich liebe es! Ganz toll sind auch die beiliegenden Bonus-DVDs. Alleine das Making Off dauert fast 4 Std. und ist recht amüsant. Alles in allem super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Untertitel gibt es nur auf Englisch, wobei die Übersetzung sehr gut gelungen ist.

GREAT DRAMEDY (drama/comedy) Starts off with Akshay Kumar being unemployed except for any casino hiring him as a hex of good luck to the gamblers. All in the first 20 min or so you see him have hit after hit of bad luck. He is so depressed after losing his latest girlfriend (they all meet with very bad luck when he starts to date them ) he decides to go back to London and see his old friend who has always been their for him no matter how bad things are. Unknown to our poor hero his friend has married a girl against her families wishes and they have been cut off by her father(( she constantly leaves messages on the voicemail to her daddy but he coldly ignores her breaking her heart)) Enter Akshay to his friends life and home . With his old key he let's himself in and is sleeping upstairs when the new couple come home to smooch it up for their anniversary, very funny moments while Akshay's bad luck pops up . The next morning while he tries to make it up to them by cleaning the house, he visits destruction upon them again. Watch for the two pradas and some "shocking moments " lol. Very funny. Lots of situational humor in this one.New plan . In self defense his friend decides that they need to get him married and he will have a Karma change. Bad plan. Waiting on his bed for his bride to come out, he falls asleep. The next 10 min are a very amusing dream sequence honeymoon night. When he wakes up he's still dressed and it's morning .He goes on the beach looking for his day old bride and she shamelessly introduces the real reason she married him, her real love, now she can be married to the man she really wants and she will control her fortune too. She will send the divorce papers to him in two weeks....He just can't take this any more ...he walks into the water with his marriage clothes on to die. Enter our Sandy gorgeous , determined and full of love and life, she pulls him from the depths of the ocean and the palpable despair he's been living in. She is told by the hotel jokester that he was widowed that morning . Sandy feels bad for him and ask's him to lunch , they hit it off . She's as sweet as he is . All is not yet smooth our young heroine finds out her new love Akshay is married and believes he is toying with her heart. He just can't get a break .His love has decided to trust him but he has to ask her brother for her hand. Her brother is a walking polygraph anti terrorist commando cop . He needs to impress her brother but he is out of work and he has inadvertently caused his best friend and wife some serious home damage , they all decide to rent a big mansion to impress their respective families with and get them to show for specific dates only. They can't afford it for more than a few days. (this is a dramedy so of course they change the plans on them) . The only two available to see the estate agent that day are Akshay and his "sister n law" (friends wife) . The estate owner will only rent to them if they are married so to hurry this along they just say yeah they are married. Enter Sister n law's Daddy. He hasn't met his son in law yet and now he is being pointed out by the estate owner as Akshay. Oh what a web we weave . All sister in laws lies are causing a hilarious mess . This is a fun web , Feel free to get ensnared and enjoy the hilarious moments of nonstop laughs and tears behind every door in this very full house. I would rather read every subtitle in the universe than be subjected to any more souless Zombie techno crap from hollywood that lacks investment in the character. If we don't care about the character than why would we watch it , remember it, or recommend it... Akshay Kumar's eyes deliver. The silly elation of new love, hope or despair, the joy of acceptance of ones family ...He connects with us on every level. Keep the hits comming King Kumar.

Loved it! Funny, and great cast. This movie made me laugh out loud which is rare for me, so I had to leave a review. If you’re a fan of Akshay Kumar it’s a must see, he’s a versatile actor and plays the role of the loser both funny and endearing, the rest of the cast are also great in their rolls, many hilarious moments throughout this movie.

I just got around to watching this, past the date for a return. It was advertised as a 3-DVD set and even the director has a clip telling how wonderful it is to have the extras. There was only 1 DVD with the movie in the box. The quality wasn't that great either. Bootleg??It's a shame because the movie was funny. I kept thinking that Steve Carrell would be perfect for an American remake.Also it only ran 2 hrs 20 minutes, but the original time length is 2 hrs 35 minutes. It did seem to be a bit chopped.Don't waste your money here.

Excellent Movie . Contains day by day making ( 4hrs). And also has video commentary by the cast. The movie was great. It has terrific romance and the comedy is awesome especially the scenes post interval.

Great, Funny, and Amusing. I had seen it once and I knew I had to buy it. I would recommend it.
