Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips, Restaurant Style Corn Tortilla Chips, 9 oz., Gluten Free

These thin and crispy tortilla chips from Mission are my family's go-to now. We like them better than their other flavors and shapes. We always get these when making guac at home and they go together perfectly. We always stock up whenever they go on sale.

These Mission chips are made with a coarser style of corn meal than the Tostitos I usually buy. They also are saltier and a bit oily tasting but did not leave oily residue on my fingers. The other night when it was too warm to fuss much with supper in the kitchen, I made cheddar cheese nachos in the micro oven, cooled a bit then topped with salsa & had a dip cup with sour cream on the side. Out to the cool patio with the nachos, a tall wine cooler, some nice Latin music compliments of YouTube - near perfect evening. As the chips are thicker they held up fairly well, most staying somewhat crisp until the last one.

Tortilla chips aren’t the healthiest food, I know. Fruit would make a better snack. But sometimes tortilla chips are convenient to have at home or travel with. I prefer the Mission brand of chips because the packaging is much more sturdy. I don’t eat many chips. Maybe six for a serving. A bag will last me for months. For a family of four-guess it would depend upon their habits. These are thicker than the cheaper ones and have much less salt. If you like the thin salty tortilla chips these are NOT for you. If you eat tortilla chips as a small snack and not as a meal you will enjoy. The extra thick bag keeps them fresh and you will actually taste the tortilla chip-not a mouthful of salt. I like them because it is easy to use dip with them without breaking. They are really good for making taco salad.

Simply the best tortilla chips I have found and I have tried many. Always fresh with just the right amount of crunch, the flavor can't be beat. Good ingredients. Strong enough for dipping. Fantastic on their own. Not sure what they put in these but I keep coming back for more! The only thing you have to be careful of is not eating the entire bag in one sitting.
