I use this for curing resin, works great

Very nice for the price. I've been using a pocket UV flashlight powered by 3xAAA for the longest time for lures and circuit board work. Recently I changed to a different resin and that old flashlight just takes forever and burns through batteries like crazy. (AAA flashlight on left, this ultrafire on the right in photos) Was looking for an 18650 or 21700 powered flashlight since I have such batteries readily available. This thing kicks. Far more powerful and it has a focusable lens which is superb for when I only need to cure in a small area. It has no charging circuit. So you will need a way to charge your 18650 outside the device. Very solid construction. Pleasantly surprised. The clip is secured with screws not a tension ring. Total game changer. Never have to worry the flashlight escaped the clip. Size is nice imo. Good hand fit for holding normally. Little awkward if you want to hold it like a penlight though because it's back heavy. Only con: no lanyard/ring hole I would buy more of these for ice fishing (jigging glow in the dark lures) but without a way to secure it to my person I might have to pass. There are holes in the clip if you wanted to tie on there but then it gets funky not hanging straight.

This is a powerful UV flashlight that really does its job well. The one thing to note: it requires a 18650 rechargeable battery, which isn’t something most people have lying around. You’ll likely need to order it separately, and it’s not included with the flashlight. Still, excellent performance overall—just be sure to have the right power source ready to go.

This is a great UV flashlight. I use it for curing resin and also for charging up glow in the dark 3D printed things. For curing resin it doesn't do it instantly. You do have to hold the light over it for a little bit, but it does cure the resin. For charging up glow in the dark things - it's instant! It's crazy how good it works for that and definitely fun. Also... wow, you'd be surprised how much lint you probably have on your shirt. Haha. UV light picks up a lot of things that you may not noticed until you use one. Don't shine it on cheap hotel sheets. You'll never sleep again.

It should be noted that this item does not include batteries, and those will cost more than the light itself, but so far Im super happy with how bright it is, and happy with the quality

I bought this flashlight for uranium glass shopping. Testing it on the uranium glass I already have, it works as expected. I took it paint shopping recently too. I was looking for what paints are UV reactive, to spice up some things I'm planning on making. The added bonus is that it charged up the glow-in-the-dark paints too. It's nice being able to test paints in the store, especially with this compact size. My older lights were much larger, and more cumbersome to carry into stores discretely. It takes a standard 18650 battery. We have a bunch for other lights and assorted stuff. 18650s are the new standard for portable devices, replacing AA/AAA batteries that would just die off fast.

So I bought the UV beast. I love it. It's super strong. It's not adjustable like this one. The UV beast is pretty big and I was looking for something a little bit smaller. This one has over 500 nanometers. The other one has 495. I do windshield repair for a living for cars. I have a 12 volt plug-in lamp works great Kia's resin in about 20 seconds. I know these flashlights can't be as strong as a plug-in lamp for curing. I really wanted a flashlight that I could use just for small simple repairs that I could have in my little side pouch. But this lamp isn't strong. It would not cure a small chip even with holding the flashlight for over a minute. Whereas the UV beast would cure in about 30 to 40 seconds. Don't buy it weak

This item needs a special battery that is not included. I returned it.

I got this light to see how much of a crime scene the cats have left around the house. This light shows there’s a lot of crime in this house.
