O'Neill Wetsuits 3 mm Psycho Cold Water Hood

Bought this hoodie b/c my old one felt like it was choking me out. This one is perfect. Surfed in about 52 degree water and felt fine. Super warm, comfortable, I like the bill, which actually helps move the water away when you duck-dive...Would get this again no doubt.

I've always surfed with O'Neill wetsuits, booties, gloves, etc. It's a great company and the service is unparalleled. I ordered a large, but the fit was just too tight for me. The hood does what it does and keeps your head warm, but you're also paying almost double the competitor's which I've found just as good if not superior. If you search for hoods you'll see Tontron brand come up and in my opinion, it's a better deal at almost half the cost. That said, there's nothing to knock on O'Neill brand, but you'll pay extra for the name.

Best surfing accessory i have purchased in my cold water surfing life... however I now will be getting a new one because despite how.muxj I've used it ... my dog can tell it's my favorite and he got his puppy mouth on it and he liked it to shreds. I will be ordering another. Psycho all the way if it's not red inside I'm not surfing in it.

Used this a few times in winter in NorCal. Well built and keeps my noggin warm. It's a bit on the tight side, so I recommend getting it a size larger than the measurements suggest (especially if you have a lot of hair, which I do not).

I have never had any issues from Oneill and have always gotten great quality products and service. This particular purchase was beyond disappointing. I had originally ordered a lrg hood and it arrived the next day, unfortunately, upon inspection, the visor was off-centered by a couple of inches so I figured it was a quality control error so I requested a replacement. One day later I was sent another hood, the visor looked great! But then I noticed it was the wrong size. I would love to give a review on how this hood functions but am unable to at the moment since of all these shortcomings. Hope no one experiences any problems like this. Cheers!

I got the appropriate size for my head based on the dimensions but my jaw was hurting the entire time while out on the water, I had to come a shore to take it off. Sadly the return window expired by 10days and I can’t return it now🥲🤦🏽‍♂️

Great add-on for 4/3 suit. Keeps head warm and cold water from being forced into ears.

I've had 3 or 4 of these hoods now and use it for kite boarding. They don't last more than a few seasons but there just isn't anything better that I found. Keeps my head warm but mainly use it for sun protection(as a bald person it also feels nice to just have a little layer for bumps and scrapes 😉). As a bonus it helps keep my sun glasses on my face and holds my head phones in place when I occasionally wear them. For that reason I get these a size bigger than whats recommended. It would be nice to have a bright color option for visibility reasons but what evs. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because they don't seem to last too long(seam splits and material deterioration), but I'll still continue buying them because its the best hood I've found.
