Product is much better than the glove I was currently using. It's much more comfortable and durable. Protects your finger from chucking heavy lures with braid. Highly recommend.

After slicing my index finger open using a 4500 spinning Rod using 20lb braid I said I would never surf fish again without some means of protection. Received this in the mail and immediately put this to the test. Let me just say this product seems very well made, it’s comfortable and leaves me with assurance that I will never cut my finger again. I am casting WAY FURTHER now with this thing. Best Buy in quite some time.

Have only used a couple of times but performs as well expected. Will be interested to see how durable it is after one season

Kevlar, worth every penny and more! I throw 2 & 3 oz lures connected to 30lb braid into the surf for 3 + hours once a week. Anybody who does this without some type of finger protection has had their cheeze slide off the cracker for sure. I've seen plenty of guys using band aides or medical tape for this. Been there, done that. Doesn't last long and I hate having to change the tape every dern 30 minutes of heavy casting. Why go through $10 of tape or band aides a month when this will pay for itself in two? And pay for itself it does x100. I've used mine for 6 months already and has yet to show any wear. Plenty of guys ask me about it and end up buying for themselves (I swear I should sell these on the beach)

I've always had trouble with the line cutting my finger when surf fishing with heavy braided line. This year I tried this shield, and it was a game changer. Now I'm not worried whether this will be the cast that flays my index finger wide open! It's also pretty easy to keep this looped around my wrist, but pull the finger off when I need to tie a knot or put fresh bait on my hook, then pop it back on when it's time to cast. After many hundreds of casts, I can hardly even tell it has been used, so it seems pretty durable for me.

The idea is great, the Kevlar part that protects your finger and the glove itself decent and comfortable. The strap to secure the glove, however, is absolutely abysmal. The velcro started failing/fraying after my first trip out. I have tried using additional pieces of velcro with some success but it is not as durable and secure as I would like, or expect for the price of the glove. I will probably end up sewing on a button or two to securely attach this glove to my wrist when casting. Other than the strap the glove is decent.

I've been through dozens of casting fingers in my years of fishing, I eventually gave up & just used sports tape to cast in the surf being cheap & durable. This glove has taken some serious abuse, heavy bait & weight, throwing 3-6oz lures all day in fast current canals for slob stripers. You can go & buy the $8 or 3 for $10 that are available but when you have to keep buying them it's cheaper to just spend the extra money. I'd bet my finger on it.

I wish I bought these sooner but held off for years because it's the most expensive finger protector on the market. After wasting time with cheaper options which worked but just weren't perfect, I decided I give these a try. I wish I had just bought them from the start. You'll get the perfect fit you want with these and they're very comfy. Buy em!
