Excellent, pure Bee Propolis
I purchased this propolis resin to care for a filling I lost from a molar recently… it was an old filling that wasn’t supposed to last even this long, and I’m traveling abroad so didn’t want to spend a crazy amount on new X-rays, new filling etc. while in the US. I have no pain or issue with the remaining molar, and had read about historical (and present day) use of propolis to fill teeth both temporarily and permanently, so thought I’d give it a try. I wasn’t entirely sure how it was going to work, but I just break off a tiny piece of the resin chunks, soften in my mouth a little and then place it in the space in my molar by biting down a few times. Of course I don’t have the tools and tech to make it harden in place, and have to replace every day, but it works! Tastes resinous but not unpleasant, and the antibacterial, antimicrobial, and healing qualities of the propolis is sure to be keeping further decay away.I love the purity of this propolis - you can just see it by the beautiful look and scent of the resin! And the bag contained much more by volume than I was expecting. This should last me the duration of my 5 months abroad!

Smells like it's been mixed with chemicals
I am a beekeeper and I have never smelled propolis like this. It smells like it's been dissolved in vodka or some chemical. I boutght this to melt and spread on swarm traps but I think bees will run from this smell. (Propolis should smell like the forest --not pine needles or leaves, but a base woody scent) This smells 80% chemical. I would love for the owner/producer to tell me more about this product source and what they do to it (if it's even been gathered by honeybees??) and how to get rid of the chemichal smell.

This is the REAL DEAL - 100% PURE PROPOLIS!!!
I first was interested in pure propolis after I found a Tom's of Maine toothpaste with propolis in it which sparked my curiosity. I went online and researched propolis and was really interested in trying it after I read about it's wonderful anti-bacterial, antimicrobial properties and how bees use it for their hives. Of course each propolis batch will be different because bee's are opportunists and will gather the ingredients with what's around them but because bee's use propolis as a sealant and to prevent diseases and parasites from entering the hive, and to inhibit bacterial growth I wanted to try it out. It's also great for reducing plaque found in the mouth when used in a toothpaste and my husband and I are trying to reduce our fluoride use and propolis is doing a great job. This is the first time I've purchased propolis and I did a lot of research on finding the real deal. This is indeed the real deal, you get plenty for what you are paying for. It's very hard to consume raw at room temperature because it's like chewing a very hard wax that sticks to each tooth so I stopped and I'm working out easier ways to consume it. I understand that you can heat propolis above room temperature which makes it more sticky and easier to use so I plan on mixing heated propolis with something eatable for easier consumption. I've also been using it on cuts and bug bites to 'cleanse' the bacteria away and it's working great. I also hear propolis works great on mouth ulcers, so next time I get one I'll give it a try by taking a small chunk and placing on the ulcer and let it sit. I've even heard that propolis can be an antitumor growth agent and hope there are more studies conducted on all the great ways propolis can be used.

Melted
Delivered in February and it was one solid piece melted and stuck to bag. Not ideal

It worked for me
I was skeptical and desperate at the same time. I hadn't eaten well for at least a week because I need a root canal and just can't afford it during this time. I read the reviews and took a chance and ordered it! The delivery came the very next day! I put it in the freezer and the next day with a small meat tenderizer I began to chip a piece off. With the half of a dime-size piece, I began to chew and I put some of the dust in some juice and drank it. I felt weird for a spell and I think that was because I may have chewed too big of a piece and drank the dust, but like I said I was in pain and desperate for relief. I laid down for about an hour or so because I felt nauseous. After a while, nausea subsided. I began to feel hungry. So I started with something soft and no pain! Before even the slightest temp change, movement, or touch would send a sharp pain but afterward, I was able to eat a good meal. So it is a temporary fix until I can save a little more for the procedure I need . So far no pain and it's been three weeks now.

Amazing product
This is the highest quality 100% pure refined (bees wax removed) propolis. This is perfect for making a high quality propolis tincture. Freeze one pack of propolis and gently tap it a few times with a mallet to a powder-like consistency. Take one 750ml 190 proof Everclear and pour off half into a resealable container so it wouldn’t evaporate. Open the pack and using a funnel pour the propolis powder/small chunks into the Bottle of Everclear and add the remaining Everclear from the sealed container to the bottle but do not top it off, tincture needs space when swirling/shaking. Leave it in your cupboard and let it dissolve for 6 weeks. Give it a good shake preferably daily making sure the settled stuff on the bottom comes loose. In 6 weeks your tincture is ready to use. This stuff is very potent and you’ll need a dropper to measure for consumption. Thanks and stay healthy!P.S. People referring to this as tar, too dark, and not what they used to see as “real propolis” are referring to propolis mixed with beeswax and not 100% pure. That brown propolis scraped off the bee hive is typically 70% propolis and 30% beeswax, and that is why its brown. Stakich makes pure and amazing products and before you leave a negative review, please educate yourelf.
