Fixed Clock face myself
I've read so many reviews about this clock's face not being centered, I was hesitate to order but did anyway. Sure enough, my clock wasn't center properly either. You can fix this pretty easily even though you shouldn't have to...remove the sticky foam pieces with a tiny flat head screwdriver and small needle nose pliers, remove 4 metal holders, just squeeze and they come out. Center the face and while holding where you want it, replace foam pieces where needed, one side has 3 pieces now and it still worked after stickiness was ruined by me. It will look really off center inside the clock, but outside is perfect. Replace metal holders. Its only took me about 10 min's. I really love the look of this, the clock's dimensions are accurate, it run's great and looks so pretty on my mantel. Maybe they could have sober people putting it together though.

Quality not good.
Howard Miller clocks are made in America. This boldly has China on the back. Howard Miller makes fine quality clocks and this looks like something I could buy at KMart. Not worth $50!

Not worth it
The first thing I noticed about this clock is that the back does not latch. There is literally not even any latch there. The panel just swings open and flops around. I figured I would just put a battery in it and see if I like the look of it in general and maybe request a new one. The welding stinks, too, but from a distance the clock is cute and I almost went with the plan to replace it until I realized that the clock face is crooked. Could I fix it? Yes. But *should* I have to? The 59 minute mark is aligned with the top of the clock and it’s super annoying to look at. Three strikes. That is too many out of the box and this thing is going back.

Terrible quality
First thing I noticed when I unpacked this clock was that the face is off center so the 12 is actually about an inch to the left of the center of the clock, which makes it hard to read (and super cheap looking). Second thing I noticed was the little door on the back of the clock where you put the battery doesn't close. Third thing I noticed was that it doesn't even tell time, the hands kind of shake like they're trying to tick but the time it displays doesn't change. I wouldn't even pay $5 for this glorified paperweight, let alone $50.

Volume Control? There is None!
There is no volume control on this particular clock. It is a very quiet clock. I like the style of modernism with a minimalist look. Simple. Clean lines. When I first received this clock I had to mess around with the battery (battery not provided) because the time was off several times -- time was off by 10 to 30 minutes. I inserted a brand new Energizer Size AA. I thought maybe I had a defective Energizer battery so I inserted a 2nd new battery. Still needed to fiddle around with the clock. I finally realized the metal piece that holds the battery in place and allows the clock to work correctly was NOT making proper contact with the battery. I fixed it myself. The clock has been working perfectly ever since. The time is now precise. Perfect! It is quiet. It stands 15" in height. The clock is heavy, but the stand is not very heavy. I am pleased with my purchase, but was disappointed it wasn't working correctly when I first received the clock. The price point could be $10 to $12 less. Since this is the clock I REALLY WANTED I purchased it regardless. Others who reviewed the clock (in 2019) mentioned the weak latch in the back cover where the battery is inserted. I haven't had any issues with the latch staying closed/secured. The back cover has stayed closed and has not popped open on my clock. Perhaps the latch was finally FIXED by the manufacturer.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....
I SO wanted to love this clock. It is unique, looks professional for my home office where I receive clients. Well.... the back cover of this clock has a metal nub inside the cover which is supposed to keep the cover closed. Well, it's doesn't catch so the back stays open....unless I use TAPE. Seriously? How UNprofessional, and tacky. The clock is also rather top heavy, and sits too low for the stand to accommodate it safely. Sorry, not for $60. This is just another piece of made in China crap. Returned for something better.

Looks nice from a distance
Like: It looks good on shelf. Has real metal case. Quartz movement (a $10 plastic component, readily replaceable) is accurate, as it should be.Dislike: Case is thin gauge metal. Clock mounting is skewed, so that the top is not 12, but 11:30.Conclusion: Adequate quality, nice appearance, but overall priced probably too high for what you get. Shame on you Howard Miller for sending your manufacturing to the same manufacturing source any $10 clock distributor goes to.

When is 12 o’clock not 12 o’clock
The “12” in the face of the clock was off kilter. (It was more at the 57 min mark) Could not keep the clock- as much as I would have loved to. I know it was made in China- but pretty sure they tell time like we do - with the 12 straight up!I have ad a Howard Miller wall clock for 27 years- and thought that the quality would be comparable. Sadly no.It’s going back.☹️
