Love 1/16 DIN Temp Controller, 16C-3, PID Control, Auto-Tuning, Dual Display, RS-485 Modbus ASCII Communication Protocol

Used on a grain dryer. Got it faster than technician could get it. Back in operation with only 2 day downtime.

Needed a simple but effective controller for an improvised temperature chamber at work. This unit was easy to wire up and program. It controlled our chamber very effectively.

Probably the least clearly documented device on the internet by far. Could not in good faith recommend to anyone. Used many different ones in the past but this will be the one and only time for this.

Poor product description.

This controller works well once you figure it out. It holds my solder pot to within half a degree F after autotuning, which is better than many of these little PID controllers can do. The documentation is no better than that for the super-cheap ones with no data interface, but the user interface is actually much better - you just have to decipher it yourself. There's no justification for the price unless you're actually going to use the RS485 interface though.
