Easy to use and works extremely well!
I needed to clean my (shamefully neglected) engine on my 2007 Ford Focus. It was quite dirty and really needed a good wash. I am hesitant to use a pressure washer in the engine bay as it could push water into unwanted places. After a bit of research, I came across this and chose the Foamy version as it was the least 'powerful' of the brand. As the 'Foamy' title implies, this stuff comes out kind of like shaving cream on steroids when sprayed. I really liked the foaming action and it was easy to see what areas I had hit and what I may have missed. After a minute or so, the foam will dissipate and the cleaner will cling onto the sprayed areas.Rinsing this off was very easy and little water pressure was needed to rinse the cleaner off. After a thorough rinsing with water and then air pressure to get the water out of all the crevices, I am extremely happy with the result. This worked really well at getting the road grime and grease off of all the engine parts that were sprayed. Even the shiny metal bits were sparkling once again. There is enough product in the can to do two average size engines with moderate coverage. If you are doing heavy coverage, you will likely not get two full engines worth of cleaning. Overall I am very happy with the result and can say that I recommend this product to anyone who is going to clean their engine!

Makes your engine clean, but not necessarily brand new
I've now used this on two motorcycle engines as well as my 2005 Civic engine. It works pretty well. It didn't leave the engines absolutely sparkling, but they are definitely much cleaner, and any oily residue is all gone. My Civic for example had a pretty significant oil leak that I fixed, so I used this to clean up after, and now I will easily be able to tell if it's still leaking oil or not. And my 2003 Honda Nighthawk is already in excellent shape, so this just got any grime off the engine and left it looking pretty close to new again.Essentially it won't necessarily make your engine look better than it should, just clean.I've been using this at the car wash. Before I spray any water on the engine, I spray the Foamy Engine Brite all over the entire engine (avoiding certain things like the alternator, though) so it's completely covered. I let that soak for 10-15 minutes. Then I start with soapy water from the pressure washer and finish with a thorough rinse. I've gotten confident with the motorcycle and just use the pressure washer at full blast, but I was more gentle under the hood of my car because I didn't want to force water somewhere it shouldn't go. I haven't had any issues doing it this way on any of the vehicles.

Works Great BUT it attracts bees and flies like crazy
5 mins after spraying this foam… about 20 bees and flies started swarming the entire engine bay….. no there isnt a bee nest this is my daily driver. But engine looks good now! Just gotta bee careful around the bees

Super easy to use
Love this product. Did exactly what I wanted.I let my car cool down. Popped up hood, placed a grocery store plastic bag over the alternator (I touch the alternator to make sure it was absolutely cool). No other sensitive electronics in my 2016 Honda CRV to cover. Proceeded to spray the entire contents of the can on every surface of the engine bay.I wish I took a before pic. It was caked in a combination of oil, dust, and carbon soot. But I think the after pic speaks volumes. If I used a second can immediately after the first treatment I’m certain my engine compartment would look as good as it did the day I bought it.I plan to use this product once every 6-12 months from now on. Worth every penny.

Works wonderfully
Not a lot of caked on grease on my engine, just very dirty. This cleaned it all off and made it look brand new. One can per engine.

Cleans, but not what I expected
I purchased this product not realizing that it was a mild engine cleaner. It removed light dirt and some road grime that didn't have a chance to cake itself onto my engine's parts, but the tough stuff stayed put. I had to come back through with some 409 and a cloth to remove some of the nastier grime, which wasn't a big deal to me. But, please be aware that this product is not designed to remove tough grease and/or oil, nor even moderate dirt buildup on rubber parts. As of this writing, Amazon does not specify that this product is mild, but on the product's webpage and on the back of can itself, its cleaning power level is quite clear. In addition, Amazon's stock product photo is outdated. On the can I received from Amazon, there is a large white circle on the bottom of the can that reads "Step 1 Clean," indicating this is not a heavy-duty product. If I had known that prior to purchase, I may have reconsidered the product.
