Super

Takes you back in time and to the shore of Lac Léman
I give this 4.5 stars. Pricey for a very short and small book, and the glossy page stock is a distraction, but the lovely intimate story of this house is a big moment in history of modern architecture. This book, with pages of photos and drawings by the architect takes you back to the time when this approach to site and architecture was considered so innovative. Some years back I had a good fortune of staying in Morge for a a while and have fond memories of that beautiful area including long walks along the lake. What a perfect house with a perfect disposition for the setting and the view it affords. I will treasure this little book.

the process of the project
as an architect i frequently feel a kind of superficiality in architecture books. i have the sensation they are generaly made for non-architects who enjoy architecture.to show a wide range of an architect ouvre, we find just some photos and a small text from each project. well that's why i've been looking for books from one project only. emblematic projects. la petite maison is a beautiful and very important project in le corbusier's work.the most interesting thing about this book is that the architect shows us here the whole process of thinking this house. it's great to see trough sketches and some handwrited texts how the project was born in the architect's mind.i highly recomend! for the project, for the architect and for the book!
