Yes, each bag comes with a wooden stylus. The area that you write/scratch on is covered with a sheet of plastic. When you are ready to write or scratch on the bag, peel off the plastic and simply use the stylus to scratch off the black outer color to reveal the colorful print underneath and your writing. It scratches off very easily.
