Countertop LG Microwave Oven converts to a built-in.

My whirlpool 1.6 cu ft unit has died twice in the last 4 years, and I'm tired of the brand. This is the only trim + microwave I could find that fits the same space (I'm not interested in Frigidaire). The LG unit is 2.0 cu ft, so it's better from a splatter and cleanup perspective. My Whirlpool unit wasn't venting properly, whereas the additional volume of this unit, and front-vent trim duct is much better than the old one just venting into the enclosure.I really didn't have any problems installing this, as the cutout and base panel were already cut to size, and the mounting and fascia were straightforward to install. The only thing you should be careful with is a number of the screws are self-tapping, so as long as you keep your screwdriver perpendicular it's fine. One of the reviews was complaining about the face plate warping / buckling. I didn't have this problem. The steel about as thick as a sturdy baking sheet, which is fine for me.

I was pleased with the quality of the trim kit. It is in brand new condition.

Product looks good and comes with all the required parts and screws, although insane that the trim kit costs more than the microwave itself. Comes with install instructions that generally make sense (illustrations could be better but we made it through OK). Only real issue was pre-drilled holes in the top plate seeming to be about 1/8" off which required redrilling a few holes to finish the install.

This frame leaves a gap on my 30 inch cabinet that was pretty much made for a double oven and this unit. It lines up and fits the unit but it leaves a gap in between which is impossible to fill so now I just have a crappy looking cabinet that I spent thousands for because no other unit is going to cover it .

This stainless steel trim kit comes with complete bracketing, ducting, installation hardware, and templates for installing our new LG LMC2075ST microwave into the built-in ready cabinet. I removed an older built-in microwave so we could update to stainless steel. It couldn't have been any easier! And, the LG NeoChef microwave is amazing.
