Blue Paua Shell Coated Enhanced Adhesive Veneer Sheet

Received in 2 days. Beautiful, but had a 1.5" crosswise joint in middle near the edge. ( These pieces have a lengthwise "grain" that a crosswise joint really stands out in.) Fortunately, I'm using smaller pieces of it and can avoid the joint. If I wanted to use the whole sheet, I would send it back, as it would be unacceptable. Still, it's amazing how they can get these sheets from the oddly shaped shells. I'm making small boxes and jewelry with this stuff, easy to work with too.

This Paua shell is a favorite to work with for many reasons. First, its coating makes it far more resistant to angular breakage than other thin veneers. Second, it has a superior adhesive backing that is easy to cut, yet extremely durable and resistant to other chemical compounds, particularly, epoxy resins. It is my all-time favorite inlay product. Delicate jobs like fine epoxy-covered inlay can be a painful challenge. This product helps rather than hinders other parts of the process. Love it.

Love love love this one. I got this and prism abalone and the blue paua is my fav. Super easy to work with an exacto and/or sharp scissors. Fabulous on projects.

This Blue Paua Shell Veneer is beautiful and so easy to work with. Cuts easily with scissors. Has a beautiful shine and iridescence to it!
