Versatile boot—professional and casual!
I needed a black leather shoe with no color or visible logos for my uniform at work. My work requires me to travel a lot so I wanted a shoe that would also be my go-to daily wear for civilian clothing (and still look cute as heck). Look no further! This boot is perfect for what I needed. It looks incredibly professional with business casual/uniform and I’ve gotten lots of compliments from coworkers…but it also looks badass and so cute in my daily shorts and t shirt or goth attire! Best of both worlds!!!I am okay with how it feels with its standard insert but It doesn’t have much room to add your own or add any cushion. I got a size 8 womens and I am usually a true 8 but sometimes a 8-8.5 in boots. It’s a perfect size for normal socks and my foot slips in super easily. However it’s very very snug with thicker socks or when I tried my own insoles. Would recommend a size up if you do that.I normally wear insoles with shoes but as stated, it’s too tight to wear with these. However, I have not experienced any problems or noticeable pain with standing all day in these. I wear them almost daily and walk quite a bit.I have scuffed them up and spilt things on them but a quick wipe with a rag has them looking like new.I love Dr. Martens (own quite a few pairs) and expect these to last years. There is no stitching on the boot and the sole is a great size, not super large or bulky like their classic boots. There is a tag at the top of the boot with the Dr martens logo but it is hidden underneath any standard sized pant. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Fits an insole
I wear a size 7.5, and I typically prefer to size up a little in boots, so I ordered the US 8/EU 39. They fit like a true EU 39, which is more like a US 8.5. On they’re own, they’re too big, but with an insole, they fit perfectly. Even though it’s a fairly narrow cut of boot, there’s still enough space to comfortably fit a full-length insole, which is great because there’s no arch support at all.The leather is not quite as stiff as the traditional 1460 boots, and a lot shinier. I’d expect them to hold up to winter weather pretty well. They’re pretty uncomfortable at the instep where the leather seam meets the elastic panel and where the top of the boot hits my leg, but I think they’ll get better with a break in period.

Nice but...
I like the style of these but they're just too sloppy for my foot. The leather isn't very soft and it creases where your foot bends which would be pretty painful very quickly.

No half sizes, but great-feeling boots
I typically wear an 8.5 (often larger in boots though), and I had hoped from the other reviews that sizing down would cover me. Unfortunately, the 8 was too snug (not in the kind of way that new leather boots should be), and the 9 was too large, even with thick socks. If you can find a size that works for you though, these boots felt sturdy but also like they would break in nicely with regular use.

Not leather
I like the shoes a lot, but the ones I received are the vegan ones -- not the leather; they have the white tags. The description says leather and that is what I thought I was getting. They are quite large, but I don't think the smaller would have worked. I have wide feet, and I don't mind the room. They are great shoes. I just wish either the description had been clearer or that I had gotten what I actually ordered.

Pretty sure it's legit leather, size still runs a little large *update* neither size fits :/
The media could not be loaded. *Hope this helps others who are on the fence about buying these boots!!!* - I just got the black Flora Doc Martens boot in the mail, 2-day shipping was on-time. The box looked like it was from the company and the boots themselves looked brand spanking new. I double checked the item # in the boot and on the box and it matched with the item # on the Doc Marten website, sooo I think these are real leather. The Amazon sticker, however, says that these are "Vegan", and I kind of doubt it (it also said Vegan under my checkout, but I took the risk anyway). I ordered a size 9/UK7/EU41. I normally wear size 9 for everything, very very rarely a 9.5. These could fit a 9.5 and would be suitable for a wide-size foot. I don't have a wide foot, so I'm going to wear these with thick socks. I wouldn't wear these with sporty-cotton/spandex socks or dress socks since my foot would probably slide around. That said, I think if you are a size 9 and ordered a size 8 it would probably be snug enough to wear barefoot or with thin, regular cotton socks, I guess it just depends on how you want to wear these. Oh, I think it would be a good idea to order some of the special Wonder Basalm, or some other leather conditioner product since these seem like they'll begin to crease very easily. I barely walked in them and I could start to see the crinkles setting in. I'd like to do what another reviewer suggested and bend these around a bit with some leather product and a hair dryer (great idea). Overall, 4-stars because of sizing, I'm still on the fence about sizing down to an 8. We'll see.***UPDATE:So, I went ahead and ordered the size 8/UK 6. They were way too snug for my liking. The size 9/UK7 were too loose, particularly in the ankle and heel. I'm going to be returning both boots since neither fits the way I'd like. Call me picky, but I'd prefer to have a boot that fits perfectly for paying this much money! When will they start making half-sizes?! Anyway, I think the quality and construction of the boot lives up to Doc Marten's reputation. Also, both pairs were the leather, not vegan pleather. I took off 2 stars for the unsatisfactory sizing.

Beautiful boots
This is my first pair of Dr. Martens. They are beautiful. My only advice for buying them is know that every pair fits slightly differently. I tried them on in a Dr. Martens store and then bought on Amazon. The ones I received from Amazon were tighter around the ankle than the ones I had previously tried on. I ended up returning these and buying the ones from the store due to a better fit around the ankle. I love them. I found them very easy to break in by just using thick socks and wearing the boots around the house for a day or two. I highly recommend them. I’ve worn them walking miles around the city with no issues. I find them very comfortable.

So So Shiny!
I am sending these back. The photo appears to look like a normal Doc, but what I got was a shiny almost patent leather upper with cheap stitching. Not the quality I expect from Doc Martins. I also hate super shiny boots, I wish the photo showed this. It is apparent on the red picture but not on the black. So heads up

True to size for me - size 8!
These boots are in fact true to size - at least they were for me! I am usually a size 8 US, but I ordered a size down as per the advice of many reviewers. I found the 7 too tight! The size 8 are perfect, and I can fit slightly thicker socks on.Overall I love these boots. They aren't dainty but they're a great mid winter boot for our lovely Canadian winters when you don't need to wear your next level giant boots outside. They keep my feet dry and they're pretty comfy. The one boot hits against my ankle a bit so higher socks or pant coverage may be key. This may go away with time though!Overall I would recommend these boots!

Almost the perfect chelsea boot
I am normally a 7.5 in most shoes. Based on other reviews, I decided to size down and go with a 7; I think a 6 would have fit me better. I can make the 7 work by wearing thick socks or using an insole, but the size 7also looks big and almost clown-like. If I keep these, I’ll need to exchange for a smaller size to avoid rubbing in the back of the boot. As for the look, this is a very attractive boot with the exception of the heel. Instead of being flush with the back of the boot shaft, they angle out slightly and look a bit odd. I think I can get used to it, these just aren’t the feminine chelsea boot I was looking for.

A little snug across the width , but sure they will be fine when they are worn in a little
Love dr marten quality, can dress this style up or down . Good to wear with jeans or a skirt . Like the shine on the leather .
