Bassett'sBassetts Liquorice Allsorts 165g (Pack of 12)

I love Bassetts Licorice Allsorts. A friend recently sent me a bag from Amazon and it was soft and fresh. I decided to buy a case of 12 as it was more cost effective. My order arrived last night and I immediately opened a bag to enjoy. The stuff inside was hard and looked old. It also had like a film over the Candy so the colors didn’t look right. Even though the Best By date was 12/10/21, the product was definitely stale. Maybe it sat somewhere warm in the warehouse or it’s been sitting in the warehouse a long time. I don’t know, but this was not worth $42!I tried returning but it’s not returnable. I contacted Amazon to request a refund, and they did refund me the full amount. I guess even though the single bags are more expensive, that’s the way to go next time.

It's a hell of a lot cheaper than flying to London to enjoy authentic licorice allsorts. They're delicious, and because of the packaging, they stay fresh. I love the flavor of "real" allsorts, the other imatators are a sad version of the real thing. You pay for it, but as an annual treat? I'm worth it.

Arrived quickly in excellent condition. Flavor is great and the candy is very fresh. The packages are a good size. Easy to enjoy a package in one sitting and enough to share. Made in England so these are the real McCoy. A little expensive but so worth it once you experience the flavor rush. Awesome.

These are the same as the original Bassett's we used to get when I was a child. They arrived quickly and were very fresh and chewy, not stale and crunchy like knockoffs from some of the bulk sellers. NOTE: For those who have heart conditions or hypertension, be aware that these are flavoured with liquorice root extract (not anise, like most American liquorice candies), so they can contribute to potassium depletion, a potentially serious health problem, if not eaten in moderation.

Can't beat the taste,freshness, and flavor. Plus arrived quickly.One drawback is that the packages do not have zip lock closures, so that you have to put the entire item in a zip lock of your own to keep the item fresh. Maybe they want us to eat it all in one sitting!!

I love black licorice and especially these. They used to come from England and took a while. Now they come from New Jersey (maybe the importer). They were very fresh, soft and delicious. Will order again. Thank you.

Reorder on Bassett's licorice. As my Mom was from England, this reminds me of her.

I buy these for my kids my grandchildren and of course myself, l love liquorice Allsorts my favourite candy.
