DEMDACO Dean Crouser Hummingbird Watercolor On White 14 ounce Ceramic Stoneware Tea Pot Set

Gift for my granddaughter's other grandma who was dying. Arrived with broken lid. Had to glue it together since there wasn't enough time to send it back and get a new one. She still enjoyed it her last few days.

The saucer that came with the set was broken and glued back together. It came out of the box this way. I am very disappointed in this.

Purchasers should be aware that there are perhaps TWO different manufactured versions of this item.I presume that the tea set I received was the ORIGINAL version, because it has an obvious design flaw. This flaw is that the TEA CUP (that you hold, and drink from, and also what holds up the whole arrangement when full of boiling water and stacked like the picture), DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY into the center of the saucer.In short, the diameter of the flat central circle of the SAUCER is 5 mm smaller than the base ring of the TEA CUP.This makes the whole thing highly unstable. This makes the heavy pot of boiling water *WOBBLY* (and this makes the tea drinker noticeably nervous)I know this must be the *earlier* version, because it has a copyright date saying 2018, whereas I *also*purchased two other DEMDACO teapot versions in the same Amazon order. This defective one is the Hummingbird print, but both others I received in the same Amazon box, the DEMARCO Bufferfly print and the DEMARCO Dragonfly print, have dates which say 2019, and they both have saucers where the inner ring is 8mms bigger, and the cups actually fit in them nicely.If you order, be sure to note, somehow that you want the 2019 version.Lastly, the one I received was OBVIOUSLY a formerly returned set. This is because the bottom-of-box label was half ripped off (showing the 2018 date), but it was too sticky to have been fully removed, and so the original purchaser (or originator) just gave up. It should be noted too that the box I received *DIDNT* have the word "DEMDACO" on it anywhere. The older paperwork (in this Hummingbird set) says 2018, and gives the website BIGSKYCARVERS. The two other newer sets say 2019, and give the website DEMDACO.
