Crisp Clean Glow that will make people stare!!
Arrival: I received this kit in a timely fashion, it was delivered on time (2-days with prime membership). It came nicely packed in an amazon box with sufficient packaging air bags which ensured safe travels. Kit itself came in its own retail box that had two separate boxes inside where all the components were separated. One box had the lights, remotes, batteries, receiver. While the other box had all the extension cables, zip ties, light mount brackets. Installation: This kit offers two way of installation it can be set up to plug straight into a cigarette litter or it can be hard wired into a fuse box for a hidden cord clean look. I first tested all the LED strips using the cigarette rout to ensure that everything worked before I spent my time installing everything. I drive a 2001 Ford Windstar (Minivan) I installed two of the strips up front under the steering wheel control housing, and under the glove box housing. Each LED strip has an adhesive strip on the back to allow for easy installation however I live in North Dakota and when I received my kit I was excited to install it and at the time our high for the day was a whopping -10 F. Im sure I could have used the adhesive back and been just fine, but i wanted to play it safe just in case it was to cold so i used the included zip ties and mounting brackets to install my lights and it work flawlessly. Depending on how well they stay installed if I have to I can go back when it warms up and install them using the adhesive strips if i please. I installed the last two strips under my driver and passenger seat in the back of my van and they look amazing. As I mentioned this kit includes a fuse splicing wire that allows you to connect the kit straight into the vehicle that will allow it to turn on and off with your vehicle. I tried to connect mine using the fuse panel but i was not have much luck at the time. After trying a couple different fuse location with no luck I quit trying due to the fact as i mentioned it was -10F up here in North Dakota. When it warms up I do plan to try and hook it up to my fuse panel when I'm able to last more than 5 minutes outside with out having to go in and warm up my hands. So i have it installed using the cigarette lighter with all my cords and head unit ran behind my stereo so its still fairly clean looking. Also when it warms up later this spring or summer I plan to run all of my cord under my carpet I did the same thing when I installed my sub-woofers ( two 12" subs) and it is fairly easy if you have the time. Remotes: Two remotes were included in the kit one remove is about the size of a credit card that has all of the colors on it and easy to switch between each one, along with the setting to either breath through all of the colors or use the music setting to all the colors to beat to the tune of the song. the second remote is a keychain style that has four buttons on it one turns it on and off, the second one adjusts the brightness of the light, the third controls what color is being displayed, and the fourth switches between color mode, breath mode, and color mode. The mini screwdriver that came with to put the battery in the remote was a bit too small, i used my own screwdriver that i had which was a little bigger and made it much easier to get the tiny screws out and back in. The Quality: The quality of these lights are amazing, lit comes with everything you need to install it yourself. The lights are crisp and clean and offer a stunning glow. I nice feature is that you can control the overall brightness of the lights so they don't distract you when driving down the highway. Summary: These lights are awesome and met my expectation all the way. I've only had them for a few days and everyone who has seen them has asked me where I got them and were amazed with how easy and clean they looked. This OPT7 kit definitely make your vehicle stand out from the rest just be prepared for people to ask you questions about them because your vehicle will be the talk of the group.

If my next car doesn't have ambient lighting, I'm getting it again!
I bought these for the footwells in my 2007 Honda Accord. Installation was a breeze - I opted for the fuse tap option instead of the cig lighter plug, running the cables underneath plastic trim panels and mounting the LED strips so you can't see them or their cables. "stealth", as some would say... My hope was to install the kit in such a way that someone whose never been in a 07' Accord before might either not notice the ambient lighting or simply think "hmm... who would have think that would be a stock option on a 9 year old car...". That is, of course, only applicable if you're not using strobe mode... LED strips: the strips themselves are well put-together, and of a good quality. The adhesive backing is superb. I would buy these again for other projects if they just have the strips available for sale... LED strip extensions: The extension cables provided by OPT7 are plenty long enough to mount the strips pretty much wherever you want, and that includes the extra length needed to fish them under plastic trim panels to get there. Use some of the zip ties they provide to secure the cables so they don't rattle around, and to secure the extra cabling you're probably going to have left over from the lines leading to the front footwells. Light quality: the light is a nice even ambient light - exactly what I wanted. The brightness adjustability is nice for cruising on an empty highway since you can tone it down. Door-assist feature: the idea of this feature is that the LED controller has a second power line that goes to something that turns on with the door courtesy lights. The LED strips turn on *white* with the doors open! This is pretty cool, and certainly a welcomed feature. However, it turns out that the main power line has to be on to power the LED strips for it to work. In other words, if your fuse tap or cigarette lighter turns on with the ignition, the door-assist feature won't work unless the ignition is on - the second power line is just a sensor and won't power the strips on. *THAT BEING SAID*, if you really want the door-assist white light to come on with the doors even if the ignition power is off, you could make a little harness with some relays (I may do this myself). I ended up fishing the second power line up above the headliner to wire it directly to the dome light - this makes the door-assist turn the LED's white when the dome is on whether the doors are open or you manually turned the dome on (useful for disabling the feature if you're at a drive-in?) You can see the effect of this in the video I'm including in this review. Remote controls: This kit actually comes with two (2) *different* remote controls. One is a controller with something like 24 buttons on it that gives you full control over the LED's color, fading, strobe, etc... The other controller is a 4-button "quick remote" that gives you ready access to the most common features like ON/OFF, brightness, color, and sound-mode. The 4-button remote is perfect to use without having to look down at the remote if you're on the road. Sound-activated: For when you want your car to be a rave, beating the photons out with the beat of your "sweet jams". It's a neat feature, but I don't use it much because its too "strobe-y" for my taste. If you plan on using this feature, you want to make sure you mount the controller either near a speaker or mounted to the same panel as a speaker, and that's just so you can tweak the sensitivity so its activated by the beat of the music and not the beat of the poorly maintained side roads in your New England town.... There are instructions on their website to adjust the sensitivity of the unit, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Overall, this is an excellent kit for adding a nice "premium" feature to your older or base-model car. Installation is easy, the hardware is of a good quality, and if you're not sure if you want ambient lighting $45 is a great deal to try it out!

Exceptionally bright, good quality, lots of features and install options
My car actually came with ambient footwell lighting out of the factory, but it left a lot to be desired (wasn't bright at all, and didn't cover a lot of space). I looked at this product to really make the interior of my 2018 Civic Si Coupe pop, and it didn't disappoint! This kit enabled me to provide some eye-catching (yet tastefully executed) ambient lighting to the interior of my vehicle. // What impressed me: The number of install options that came with the kit was fantastic! In addition to the standard cigarette lighter attachment, you had various 12v connectors for direct wiring, and even proper fuse panel adapters (with fuses!). I chose to go with the cigarette lighter attachment because, on the 2018 Civic Si, the cigarette power port is hidden behind the center console. This meant that my installation could be nicely concealed, and would power on when the car's accessory mode is activated. I was able to successfully route and conceal the wires to each of the 4 lighting strips throughout the various front and center console molding. The brightness and range of display options was also a big plus. The remote control not only gives you a wide range of modes and colors, but also the ability to fine-tune each of these modes (including strobe and fade speed) as well as sound sensitivity. I don't really use the audio-reactive mode because it is actually very distracting, but it might look good if you're parked and you want to use the stereo on your car to entertain your friends. // What could be better: The adhesive that comes already attached to the strips isn't the strongest, so my recommendation is getting some of your own heavy-duty double-sided tape or a handful of 3M command strips and cut them down to size and use those instead. Also, while I LOVE to the range of colors available on this set, the colors in the purple and pink side of the spectrum are not brilliant. They're quite muted... so if you're trying to get a nice pink or purple out of this set, you may want to look into getting some matching purple/pink floor mats to help project this color better. I went with red to compliment the red accents in my car, and my red floor mats REALLY helped the color pop! // Tips for installation: A lot of people will tell you to direct wire the set or use the fuse attachment. I personally was a fan of the cigarette lighter option because on most modern cars this power plug is concealed enabling you to install the kit and have it virtually invisible anyway. Also, my car is new and still under warranty, which means if I have any electronics failure my warranty would be voided. Something to keep in mind for newer car owners. Using this attachment meant that my light came on when the accessory mode activated. If you want these light to only come on when the doors are open, you will need to wise it using the fuse attachments. For the two rear lighting strips, I bought a length of sticky back velcro. Because I attached these strips to the bottom of the seats in the back, the velcro was a fantastic solution to make it stick to the fabric on the underside of the seats. The adhesive on the sticky velcro, combined with the adhesive on the strip already forms a strong bond. Also, the fact that you are using velcro to attach the light means you can realign or reposition as many times as you'd like! As mentioned above, if you plan to adhere these strips directly to any plastic paneling (like I did for the front two strips), maybe look at buying your own 3M Command adhesive to provide better adhesion. // Overall: I'm extremely happy with this purchase. As you can see from the picture it really helps my vehicle pop, especially when tastefully applied. Kudos to the manufacturers. I may provide an update to this review after I've had the product for a while.

LEDs are high quality and are enclosed in a plastic case so they won't get damaged easily. The kit comes with everything you nee
Read this if you plan to use the Aux power wire for Door Assist feature!!! Installed in my 2014 Honda Civic SI This kit is very clean. LEDs are high quality and are enclosed in a plastic case so they won't get damaged easily. The kit comes with everything you need to install. Wires are plenty long, I had to more than enough and actually ended up zip tying most of them in a bundle to keep it clean. Lights are bright and the remote works well. Installation was pretty easy if you plan ahead but I had some issues with getting the aux "Door Assist" feature to work. More on that below. I used zip ties to install the strips so cannot comment on the adhesive backing that comes with them. Overall this is a very good kit. I only give it 4-stars due to some minor issues stated below: 1) The mini-ATM low profile fuse tap provided in the kit were too large for my fuse box. I had to file down the edges with a metal file to get it to fit. 2) The SoundSync feature that is supposed sync to your music does not seem very accurate. I tried adjusting the sensitivity but the lights just seem to flash randomly, not to the beat of the music. 3) The Aux power wire (Door Assist Feature)!!! This is the biggest gripe I have and I could have avoided a major headache if the kit instructions simply provided more info on this feature and how to set it up. The kicker: this aux "power" wire only acts as a switch and does not actually provide the power to the control box. This means that in order for the lights to come on white when you open the doors you have to have constant power applied via the main power input wire. If you wire it up this way you would need to use the remotes to turn the power off to the lights when you leave the car in order to not drain your battery. This is a pain in the ass in my opinion. I chose to wire my main unit power to the +12V Accessory so that the lights are on when I turn the key. This setup means that the Door Assist feature is not available...unless using some help from relays! I did some research online and ended up using a pair of SPDT relays that are triggered by the driver "door trigger" wire. One relay is triggered when the door opens and provides the Aux input with +12V power from fuse box. The other relay isolates my constant +12V fuse and +12V Accessory inputs. When this relay is not triggered (NO) my control box receives power from the +12V accessory fuse. When this relay is triggered by the door it provides power from the constant +12V source and the LEDs light up white. This allows me to not have to use the remotes to turn the lights on and off and provides the functionality of the door assist feature. It only works for the driver door now but if I wanted to tap into the passenger and rear door triggers I could do that later. Hopefully this information will save someone else a lot of trouble. Even with a lot of online research and reading forums it took a while for me to get this working.

Satisfied Customer!
I'll start from the beginning, the shipping time for this product was less than a week, ordered on either Thursday or Friday and received on Tuesday (although i don't check my mailbox everyday so it very well could have come in Monday). I order a lot of things off the internet and to receive an item in under a week is very fast in my opinion! As for the lights, i love them! Its cool that theyre not just red blue green, but they throw in some teal and types of purple, etc, they honestly look real cool. My only tiff i guess i would say is concerning the mode that is supposed to go along with your music, it basically works off of vibration so when youre parked its perfect but where i live there is a lot if pot holes and that really messes with it, even non smoothly paved roads kind of kills it. But I fell in love with the other modes better so it doesn't bother me too much. Another thing to note, the package came with zip ties, which i don't remember being included in the description so it was an added bonus! There is adhesive tape on the back of each light strip but it doesn't stick all too well. My kit also did not come with adhesive tape for the back of the control box which for some reason I was under the impression it was supposed to, but once again, not a huge deal. Lastly, when installing my lights i did come to find that one of them was malfunctioning, not terribly, but wasn't able to illuminate all colors. I emailed the seller about my problem and got a reply back letting me know they received my emial and already had a new light strip scheduled to be delivered at my door. Easily one of the most pleasant & quick problem resolutions i've ever had with a company. I was honestly blown away, they didn't even request for me to send back the malfunctioning strip, no hassle with having to go to the post office or anything... now lets hope my second package doesn't contain a return label KNOCK ON WOOD! lol. They apologized and honestly, i don't even mind that a strip came damaged just because of how awesome their customer service made me feel. Even if i hated the product, which luckily i dont, i think i would still rate the seller at least 4 stars just because of the customer service alone. Highly recommend!!! **Updatedd** Since recieving and installing the new working light strip, they work great! Not a single problem since and I couldn't be happier. Since my purchase I actually bought a new car where they are not installed. I had more trouble with the fusebox than with my previous vehicle with not being able to ground the piece properly so right now they are connected just via cigarette lighter but i don't mind, still love them and use them all the time!

Very happy so far
Easy to install got it done same day as delivery. Good instructions but they can be misleading if you don't know what you're looking at. The power source plugs in and the actual positive and negative wires that come off the the device are totally optional and control the door open/close feature. The hardest thing for me was trying to find a fuse that turned on and off with my car, I actually never found one and just have to turn them off when I leave my car. I tried the fuse for my onstar, display lights, basically anything I could think of that turned off when I turned off my car. I ended up just taping my radio fuse (which still stays on aparently). But a friend of mine bought these and said he used his AC fuse which I think is under my hood and not the cabin fuse box. Overall I'm very pleased with these, they look dope and are pretty bright but it had a dimmer opinion if that gets annoying. Install was easy, I used the adhesive that comes on the back of the LED strips in the front seats and zip tied under the front seats to illuminate the back. Be careful attaching the LED strip to the extension cords because I did mine kinda late in the afternoon, when i couldn't see as well and bent one of the prongs but I quickly fixed it with a knife. The kit comes with plenty of zip ties to secure the LEDs and to hold wires in place. I tucked mine pretty well, and use zip ties to secure the wires coming off the LEDs to a close by spot to where it's mounted in the off chance that someone gets their foot stuck it won't rip the LEDs way out of position. It will take a little car knowledge to install these but more practicalness to position them in good spots and being able to hide the wires pretty well. The only thing I'm not very cool with is if you have the setting on where they flash with the music of you pause it or start a snapchat it will usually reset it to a random color that's always on instead of staying on the music flash. Plus it is sound based so unless you listen to music very quietly they will flash for words and most sounds in a song instead of just on base notes as I had hoped. Still definitely worth the time and effort, mine came in the mail in about three days which is crazy good for free shipping on Amazon. I definitely recommend these to anyone who wants their car to stand out, just remember not to put them anywhere too high. You can get a ticket or felony charge (if the cops a d*uche) for flashing red or blue lights in your windows. Hope this review persuade you to make this purchase and have fun with your new lights ;)

Opt7 LED Kit Delivers an Exceptional Glow
Let me preface this review by saying Iโm a little less technically inclined than most but I was already using my cigarette power outlet for my car phone charger. So I was quite happy to find that this kit included a direct to fuse box power adapter as well as a car charger power adapter. The Quality First thing, the kit arrived in a nice retail box with a clear window of the LED strips which was sweet because I actually enjoyed the box quite a bit. The quality of these LED strips are heavy duty not like the run of the mill thin LED strips you often find for cheap. They have black end caps and the each strip is sealed in a silicone encasing; I would say about half inch thick or so. I mounted it with using the 3M tape which worked very well. Just be sure to clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol. The Setup This kit had two options for installation: easy and custom. The first being the cigarette power outlet which would have taken 10-15 minutes tops since itโs a straight plug and play option. I tested the LED strips with the cigarette lighter which took 1-2 minutes to connect and power. Pretty simple if I went that route. The second installation option was to wire it directly into the fusebox under my dash. I decided to go with the second option because I wanted a cleaner installation that takes advantage of the โDoor Assist Syncโ feature. This feature would allow the LED strips to light up white upon opening the door, but once the doors are closed and engine on, the LED strips switch back to the last color selected. The results are so sweet, basically every time I open my car driver door the whole car lights up a bright white. 2 under the dash on each side and 2 under the seats in the rear. If anyone is interested in how I did the custom install, comment below and Iโll write up how I did it and which fuse to tape. Remote and Features I found the handheld remote to be very user-friendly. There are 16 different colors I can switch between with a single press. For some weird reason, I like the peach/pink color because it looks sweet against my beige interior. With so many colors, finding a color that matches your console color or entertainment screen is easy and really gives it an OEM look. My Honda, has blue set as the screen color so when I turn the LED kit blue boom, it is like it came that way from the factory. Another cool feature is the adjustable brightness and adjustable speed buttons. With the brightness all the way up, the lights are very visible from outside the car while driving. This may or may not be an issue in your area; it is in mine. So all I do is turn down the brightness a bit and boom a glow only I can see and still enjoy while driving. The remote also has two music modes that basically enables it to pulsate to the sound of music in the car; music fade and music cycle. This works beat with heavy bass music. Otherwise, it goes a little batty and looks like a disco in the car because it flashes/cycles through the colors very fast. With heavy bass, the flashing calms down a bit. Keychain Remote and Features The keychain remote comes in handy when I forget to turn the LED kit off upon exiting the car. (This wouldnโt be the case if install this with the cigarette charger, but I went the custom route.) The remote also has a color change button which cycles through the colors and a feature cycle button which simply cycles through the fade/music features. I think the remote would be more useful if I installed the LED strips on the exterior like in the grill or under the car. That would allow me to show off a bit when parked at a party or car meet. Final Thoughts The extra light helps to really illuminate the floor, plus it just looks cool to have a low red/blue/yellow/purple or whatever color glow in your car while driving down the freeway. Truthfully, when I first showed it to my girlfriend, she exclaimed โWowโ I want this in my car. I have received envious stares and a few compliments from random strangers all with the last week or so. All in all, the kit was high quality, very bright and operates exactly as it should without any hangs up or issues. If you choose to go for the simple install using the cigarette charger, I estimate the install would have been like 10-15 minutes tops. Thatโs primarily to because you would have to run the wires throughout your car so itโs hidden. If not, it would only take 1-2 minutes to power on. For the cost, this is a complete kit and Opt7 delivers on its promise of bright, adjustable, and customizable LED interior lighting.

Some what in depth review
So i purchased the product about 4 days ago it got in the morning and i was so excited to finally install it. So First impressions it came in a nice box that was appealing. Everything was nicely packaged and the package itself was in perfect condition after opening it and laying everything out (just to make sure i had everything) i realized that the instructions werenโt the best. Everything seemed of high quality and durable. Everything taht you would need to install the lights was in the kit such as 3m tape pre installed on the back of the strip, mounting brackets, and zip ties. I was dead set on doing the fuse box install for a cleaner look but it took a lot longer than i thought so i have it temporarily set up with the cigarette lighter. (Which is something i loved about the kit hoe they give you 2 options.) It took me about 2-3 hours to install all of the lights and wires (your probably think what 2 hours?!) yes Iโm very picky on having loose wires out so i took the time to actually zip ties all of the wires then put them behind the panels and i made sure no extra wire would be seen. In my car for the front 2 i took off the cover under the dash and zip tied the strips onto there then i placed the receiver under my front dash also. There was no tape for the receiver so i just zip tied it. For my back 2 stripe there was a elastic band under my seats which perfectly fit the strips and had just the right amount of light. When mounting the receiver i found out what fuse to pull and everything but had some complications because when i kicked my car the lights still stayed out so after struggling for a while i decided to leave that alone and just temporarily wire the cigarette lighter just so i would have it working. After zip tieing and hiding all of the wires i turned in my car and pressed the on button on the cigarette lighter and my mind was blow, a bright red light ckvered my entire floor and looked wonderful i wanted to try different colors ( this is where they lost stars. My bad luck the receiver would not change colors it was stuck on red. I tried changing both of the remote batteries yet still no luck. I looked online and found nothing so being disappointed after spending multiple hours on this install i reminded myself it was temporary anyways until i hard wire it so i have emailed the company and hopefully they resolve my issue. Pros: bright, well built, makes your car unique, affordable. Cons: instructions could have been better, long install time (if your lucky about wires showing), receiver not working ( this should be temporary when resolved i will update review). Overall: i like the product and hopefully my issues are resolved so far i live hoe my cars interior looks i just want the system to function for how it was built. Only thing that lost stars was instructions and receiver not working. I have included a video of what the red color looks like (i have no clue if thatโs the brightest or dimmest it goes because the reviver wonโt ouck up anything i press on the remotes.)

No hardwire fuse adapters included in the package.
Received the long awaited package coming from the US to the UAE only to find out that the kit does not include the fuse adapters mentioned in the description of the item. "5 Minute Setup with plug & play car charger OR Advanced Setup with fuse adapters". May be worth mentioning that the adapters are not included? I now have to order them separately or source them from another store.

Fantastic!
I chose to install these using the fuse box method as I wanted a clean installation with no cables visible. The results are incredible! Not only do they give a very rich colour, they are also made of very high quality material. The led strips are covered in a silicon resin which makes them flexible, but also dust proof, and probably semi water proof too! Also stops them from being damamged. Overall, a very high quality excellent kit!

Good when they work
Hi, The LED's are good when they work - one strip only displays green after unfortunately I only found out after I spent 2 hours mounting them in the car - contacted seller and they said send the kit back and get a new one - obviously do not want to spend 2 hours installing a new set again - not sure what to do now.

Unfortunately Both remotes doesn't work!
I took this item to a professional fitting and paid ยฃ150 for hard wiring and professional installation. Unfortunately after installed inside the car, both remote doesn't work! So I can't change colours and styles lighting. By the way main device work (only both remote doesn't work). I can't return the item because already installed in my car (can't pay extra money to remove from my car). All I need a new remotes only!!
