This adapter has RTL8814AU chipset which is not officially supported by Kali for monitor mode and packet injection but still these features works using this adapter in Kali without any issues. I had to clean install my Kali for the drivers to work so if you're having issues with the drivers just reinstall your Kali. After fresh install just use these commands; 1. apt update && apt upgrade -y && apt dist-upgrade 2. apt install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms And for enabling monitor mode go for the manual method It certainly has better reception range when using as a normal adapter which is a plus point.

I would highly recommend this because it supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidth. Easy to install drivers in Kali 2020.2 and also supports packet capture and injection. The signal strength in this device is a little weak but you can upgrade antennas for better signals. No matter what you read online. No matter what you install, it will not SUPPORT PACKET INJECTION. It is a known problem within the kali community that the Realtek 8814 au will not be supporting packet injection. It is utterly useless. Will only work as a WiFi adapter for home use. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THIS FOR PACKET INJECTION. IT WILL BE RECOGNISED IN KALI BUT ONLY AS AN ADAPTER. IT WILL EVEN ENABLE MONITOR MODE. BUT THE PACKET INJECTION WILL NEVER EVER WORK. Bought this product from Amazon. This is a good WiFi adapter, there are two things that you need to know before buying. 1. The warranty provided is not proper, when i wanted to check the warranty of the product i was redirected to some email ID and contact numbers from Amazon. When i tried to contact them it was informed that their number was wrongly given and they are not dispatching their products via amazon. I had written email to alfanetwork team of India but no response and i had to use. What i am trying to clear is that there was no proper warranty clarification provided by Amazon and the contact provided also was not of the person who sold this product. 2. Installing this product is not at all an easy task, i had reinstall my Kali VM several times and install appropriate drivers for the adapter repeatedly. But don't give up, google searches will help you and you need to check websites by yourself if you want to use this device

I had hard time installing drivers. but it work for me with kali linux 2020, linux mint, apple macbook air, kali linux on virtual box.

1) It's range is awesome when you use it in an open area and if you are working in a room then the power decreases. 2) Lightweight and can be attached to the laptop's screen. 3) It's not easy to use, you should have to be previous knowledge about wifi working to operate it and install its software (In Linux). 4) For monitor mode you have to give the command Manually. 5) Many software that uses the automatic command create a problem with this. Was very frustrating at first to install on Kali Linux. This adapter does not support USB 3.0 on Kali Linux, so you may have to try different ports of make adjustments to get to run as 2.0 or 1.0. The device itself is very good. Packed sniffing and injection works very well. Can pick up signals from far distances. Great functionality as a long distance wifi adapter!

Linux Drivers lijken niet helemaal goed te functioneren. Ik kan niet makkelijk listen mode aanzetten of iets dergelijks. Hij pakt in listen mode geen pakketten op.

Conexión estable con WINDOWS 11. Permite conectarse a una distancia superior del router. Funciona bien con el driver por defecto de Microsoft (P&P). Si quiere, puede descargar un driver especifico de REALTEK, buscar el chipset RTL8814AU y no el modelo AWUS1900.
