RUBAN Case for MacBook Air 13 Inch (Models: A1369 & A1466, Older Version 2010-2017 Release), Slim Snap On Hard Shell Protective Cover and Keyboard Cover, Rose Flower

I bought this snap-on case in matte grey blue when I got my early 2015, 13-inch MacBook Air. I would describe the color as a pretty blue that’s a bit darker than sky blue. I love the color, but I chose it partly because the keyboard cover it came with was clear, haha– I don’t like the way colored ones look on the keyboard.About a year in, the bottom piece broke– I didn’t realize it cracked until I cut myself on it. I threw that piece away, but I’m still using the top piece and the keyboard cover, 3 years later. The bottom piece seemed a bit tight, and I was worried about it scratching my laptop when taking it off. I haven’t taken off the top piece since I put it on, and it’s easy to clean– just wipe it down.I haven’t taken off the keyboard cover, either– I actually haven’t typed on the keyboard without it before, haha! Some people might not like the feel of it, but I don’t mind; I don’t type very fast and I would rather my keyboard stay clean. After 3 years of use, there’s a bubble in the middle of the keyboard cover, but I don’t really mind. If it starts bothering me or gets too dirty, I’ll just get a new one.The case is nice to protect from dirt/crumbs/small spills or to just have some color/personality for your laptop, but I don’t know how well it would protect your laptop from a drop because it’s pretty thin. If you use a laptop bag it might not matter, though. I bought the case with the intent of using a laptop bag/neoprene case along with it, but depending on the bag your laptop might not fit with both the top and bottom piece of the case on. Since I just have the top piece one now, my laptop fits perfectly in both the laptop bags I have!After 3 years, other than the bottom breaking, the case and cover have lasted pretty well.

Purchased the GREY / BLUE for (2016) 13.3" Mac Air.For less then $10 I was expecting something to be wrong with this product. Maybe it won't fit correctly, have a port covered, look stupid, something. I am very happy to say that not only the hard cover but the keypad cover fit and function perfectly. I am extremely surprised for the money I paid.COVER: A perfect fit! No ports were covered up. It looks great and is very thin (yet plenty strong) Looked good in reviewer's photos but I was worried in real life the cover would look like a cheap, typical "snap on cover." This thing fits so perfectly and it's so thin, it looks like an Apple factory option. In fact, you really can't even tell it's a cover because it fits so perfectly, it actually looks like the computer's color itself.KEYPAD COVER: I have owned a few of these silicone covers in the past and this is by far the best one. A light "massage" and the cover will fall into place, covering all of the keys to perfection. This cover is very soft and thin, it's clear but a lightly "frosted" clear. My only complaint of this entire set is the keyboard cover feels a little too grippy. If your a real "ASDF" typist you may have some trouble. Since I just peck the keys however, I do not have any problems.Looks great and the lighted keys shine through easily.I am amazed this set is less then $10 and works so well, a solid 5 stars.

This fits my 13" MacBook Air (mid 2013). I can't remember the actual model number (it's A-something) but make sure you check before you order (to find it just look at the bottom of your laptop). I got it in hot pink and it's not opaque like I wanted it to be, but whatever; this case is a good price. I know because I've had 2 cases like this so far over the years (they were basically the same as this one, just a different color) and they were all around this same price (even 5 yrs ago).Keep in mind, cases like this don't actually offer much protection. They will help avoid minor scrapes on the outside surface but you could still get a dent in the frame on the sides (don't expect any other case to do much better though).The downsides of this case are: unless you get it in black, it can stain and look dirty easily. My old cases had the same weird "rubberized" finish as this one. I really hate the way it acquires dirty-looking scuffs, smudges, and finger marks on it (some of them were like permanent dirty stains on my old cases and I can already see it will be no different with this one). Wiping it down occasionally helps, but I only use water (I remember using lysol wipes once and I think it did something to the finish that made it even MORE prone to staining).Another downside can be that cases like this are sometimes impossible to install (if you happen to get a defective one--which happens) or impossible to remove without injury to your laptop once you "install" them (consider this before you lock it into place!). This one feels a tiny bit more flexible than my old ones, but I just tried to remove it out of curiosity and yeah. It's staying on there. If you have all the little tabs clicked into place or even just most of them, just consider it permanent (until they finally crack and break).The keyboard cover this case comes with fits REALLY WELL for a cheap keyboard cover, so i'm really happy with it! I consider a keyboard cover to be essential because my old MacBook Pro (that I only had for a few years) had so many crumbs in it that I used to hear it crunch when I typed and sometimes the keys malfunctioned (I've often wondered if it was why it malfunctioned in other ways too). The letters and numbers all match up (even on my old laptop!) but they're all slightly off center on this cover, so there's a tiny bit of a blur. It's barely noticeable. I can't stress enough that it fits REALLY GOOD and it's the perfect texture and thinness! That's a rarity in my experience (even the more expensive ones suck sometimes). I didn't realize how much my old one was slowing me down until I got this one (they tend to loosen with time so if this company sells them separately I will probably by an extra one).

Fits the old MacBook air perfectly. Good quality and seems durable. Very happy with the purchase.
