Darkglass Microtubes X Bass Preamp and Overdrive Pedal w/ 2 Variable Filtered Signals

Not only the best pedal I've ever used, but even a better tube driven tone than all my mesa and ampeg heads previously used. The parallel signal chain makes the deal. Being parallel allows you to add the distortion to only selected frequencies above your setting, which starts as low as 100hz, which is almost the entire signal. You can dial it up to 1Khz, meaning you're adding distortion to only the 1Khz band and above. This allows you to maintain a tight clean low end, with a grindy high end. Most people would use a guitar amp with a bass amp to get this sort of tone live, and on recordings they record two separate tracks, one clean and one distorted, but this pedal does it alone.

This pedal is amazing, there's so many variations of tones and it cuts through everything in the mix. I've owned a bit of everything the lady 37 years and already own the Alpha Omega 900 amp. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these bad boys. After a week of researching I ordered it with confidence and am very happy. The boys from Finland know what they're doing.

I purchased this to help free up CPU usage when recording bass tracks. It works really well and replaced 90% of plugins on my bass track. I have a lower noise floor and it sounds almost identical if not better than what I had been working with before through software.

Great overdrive/DI! So many options that I haven't even been able to try them all yet. So many compliments when I use this live. But I truly love it when I practice. The aux in makes a great practice companion.

1年半使っての感想です。良い点は、歪み方がとてもDarkglass特有で、良いです。しかし、このXシリーズ、他のB7Kなどのシリーズとは音作りの仕組みが違うので苦戦しました。説明書や公式サイトにも詳しく載せてくれていたらよかったのですが。基本的には申し分ない歪みです。 気になった点は、他のシリーズではBlendやTreble、HiMIDのつまみがありましたが、こちらはそれらがないため、個人的に理想の音には近づききれませんでした。また、グライコも4バンドありますが、800hzの帯域がほしかったところ。LowCompの効きもよくわかりませんでした。 総合的には、持っていて損はありません。自由度が高いがゆえに音作りも難しいですが、多様な音作りができると思います。（私としては、B7KやαΩの方が好きですが）

je viens de l'utilisé en répet, et sérieusement ,le son est incroyable. les possibilité de réglages sont importante et on arrive a avoir vraiment des saturations différentes en fonction des réglages. je joue sur bc rich avec micros passif emg et sur un hartke 5500. une révolution sonore pour basse
