So my son refuses to wear a hood on any of his jackets- clearly they are lava. But this! He’s just under 2, and after the initial over the head shock, he decided that he loves it. Granted it gives him something to chew on as the part that lays right over the mouth. However, he wears it, it keeps him warm and covered from the harsh winds, without being tight.We liked it so much, the rest of the adults in the family ordered them (appropriate sizes of course so a different listing). All in all a great product for the money.You can quickly tighten the balaclava up with the draw strings, but we have yet to do so for my son. This is great for the playground, especially at daycare. No worrying the hood or hat are falling off while the kids play outside.

It's too big for a 5 year old.. not perfectly fitting as told in description for 3-11 years. Inappropriate website description. It is perfectly fit for mom. But I didn't buy for mom. I bought for my 5 year old girl for wearing herself in playing recess time in school. Very much disappointed. As I saw the review of others I bought but size is too much big. Even we adjust tight with string provided. It totally coming out from her head.

Like anything polar fleece it does work up some static and muss her hair, but we expected that. I did not expect the super thick, warm fleece, comfortable style and sizing, and great design! There’s separate tightening straps for the outer hood and and chin part and my daughter says it’s very warm. It held up to the Arctic wind on the prow of a moving whale-watching boat off the coast of Canada in September when all the adults were absolutely frozen and hiding in every layer we had with numb ears, but my daughter’s face was protected and she didn’t have to hold her hat on her head like every other person there. I wish they made a grownup version!

Good product! I got this on a lightening deal for my 4.5 year old . She has a normal to above average size head but nothing crazy huge hah and it fits her pretty well. The nice toggles allow us to tighten it. There’s plenty of room to grow but I wouldn’t say it’s too big. It’s great becuse it covers her entire neck and head and lots of her face. Much easier to deal with than a scarf. Not sure why some of the reviews say this is huge. Maybe they just have smaller heads. Definitely think it’s fine for the average 4 or 5 year old and older. Pretty color and soft .

Ordered this for my 3 year old boy in blue and orange. It seems big but... we will manage, we have very windy late winter and it works I guess. A concern was obviously it's not covering the forehead but if we tighten the strap it's lowering down. So for once in awhile to wear when weather conditions are demanding it's a good cute hat.

Not only are these amazing for winter and staying warm but they can also work as a mask that covers mouth and nose during crazy COVID times. My 5-year old loves hers and I love the adjustable straps for when she grows. Love it.

Had to return. Very small and tight. Didnt like the fabric either, felt rough and scratchy. Size would only be for a baby or toddler, didnt work for my older girls.

Got this for my 6 y.o daughter. We've only used it once but she loves it. The material is soft and she likes there is a option to wear as shown on picture, push mouth cover down and slide hat down to cover neck only. Her head was warm with it on. It was easy to wash and I hung dry just in case it will shrink.
