They actually compost!
I love these bags. They actually breakdown in an above-ground backyard compost! I’m so happy I don’t have to keep digging holes around my yard to bury dog poo and poo bags.A few tips for those wishing to compost these bags:1. Always add a sufficient amount of “brown” material when poo is tossed in your compost. Shredded paper and non-clumping pine or paper cat litter have worked great for me, as they soak up moisture emitted from the poo, detract flies and other insects, and help reduce nasty smell.2. Try not to knot the bags when tossing them in your compost pile. I’ve noticed that when knotted, the bags take longer to breakdown.3. Toss in other “green” materials along with poo and bags, like kitchen scraps and grass clippings. This will help heat up your compost pile and speed up the breakdown process of the bags.4. When possible, turn your compost often (once a week). And always make sure dog poo and poo bags are covered by brown material or finished compost. This will help reduce smell and improve the composting process. These bags are strong and large enough to hold a massive amount of poop. The handles are so nice. Just stop stressing over dog poop and buy these bags :)

I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW!!
********GUESS WHAT?? YOU CAN STRETCH THE BAGS A BIT SO YOU CAN FIT THE LITTER SCOOP IN SO MUCH EASIER!!****** THESE BAGS ARE BY FAR, THE BEST OUT THERE!!********These bags are great but I use these bags for cat litter waste. The opening is JUST big enough for the scoop to fit. Sometimes the scoop doesn't make it into the bag and then misses so I just have to hold it right over the litter box when filling. I love that they are the approximate size of a one liter bottle because it takes about that much to scoop out 4 litter boxes, then it's full and I tie it closed. They are strong, no breaks, no leaks, and I've filled them to the top. The bags keep the stink in check too! I used to use plastic store bags and scoop for a couple days to get full use, but it was a daily reminder of what I was doing to the environment. 😞 Then I bought recycled paper shopping bags, but I tried to use this to at least 1/4 full but the smell became unbearable and they eventually get wet and break. I am SO glad I found these eco friendly bags! There are a lot in the box so they will last for a long time! I am certain you would get many cat owners to buy these because they are the ONLY brand that is truly compostable.

These bags are in a whole other level of quality.
The media could not be loaded. These are without a doubt the best bags we have ever had. Everything about them is perfect. First the feel. They have this unique texture that works with your fingers to open up effortlessly. They roll out and dispense incredible because of the deep perforated cut that separates them. And they are folded in a way that when you first open them by rubbing your thumb and finger together, you are already holding the inside of one handle and the bag is open. The tall aspect is awesome. Everyone has run into the issue where puppy has had some tummy trouble and the only way to clean up is to pull up some grass too. With regular bags, you can run out of plastic as you pull grass and end up with a dirty hand. But these bags are so long you are practically covered to your elbow when you reach through and I’ve never even worried about that issue since. They are thick and sturdy to keep smells in and not swinging through the air on your way to the drop off. Plus to know on top of everything this bag does that is so much more than any cheap plastic bag, this one helps solve a plastic problem instead of adding to it. FANTASTIC JOB GUYS! You have a customer for LIFE !!!

Sturdy and easy to use...with one occasional weakness
This is the best bag I have found so far... and have been using various dog poop bags every day for a variety of dogs for more than 40 years. Large enough for big dogs, easy to tear off and easy to open. Also easy to secure/knot once they are used. I am sold!I have one caveat after using these bags for awhile—one that will not make me quit using them—but every now and then one of the bags will have a weak bottom seam and I find myself picking up dog poop with my bare hand. I now have to remember to check the bottom seam before using the bag. That is a small thing (depending on your point of view and the size of your dog) but every other feature of these bags is completely superior to others.

They completely shred when using!
These bags do not hold up at all. I see all the other great reviews and am surprised. These things shred to practically ribbons just trying to open them. And I don’t even want to tell you how many times I tried to pick up my dog’s “deposit” only to realize my finger had gone right through the bag and was now covered in…yep! I tried several different rolls in my box to see if maybe one was defective. Nope. Multiple rolls did the same. Just dumped five rolls in the trash. After using SIX bags to try and contain one poop long enough to get it home, I’m done.

Good for cat litter too!
I try to reuse plastic bags when I can but there always seems to be a lot of empty space wasted in the bag after scooping out the cat litter and tying up the bag. After doing a bit of research on what various brands had to offer, I chose these because of biodegradability, price, handles and unscented. I read many reviews and noticed how people kept referring to products that claim to be earth-friendly but are not, or degrade into small/micro-plastics which to me is not good enough. I really like that these bags are made from plants but mimic the versatile aspects of plastic. They are also "tested and certified in the USA", which is also fantastic. I have not tried them with dog poop yet but will give a roll to my friend for her to try out soon. The customer service department seems excellent too as they have reached out a few times to make sure I am satisfied with my purchase. I am very satisfied so far, but I have not been using them for very long. They seem to hold in odor well once you tie them up. I would strongly recommend cat or dog owners giving these a try.

The first bag I used ripped immediately after I picked up the poo
So I had to use a second bag to wrap around the first bag. The bags FEEL good to the touch but that is the only positive thing about them. I've never used bags that tore this easily. Unreal. I bought these because I wanted bags that had handles on them and in a roll.I returned mine immediately.

Very pleased
Very pleased with these poo bags. They are large and strong and easy to open from the roll. Trying to find truly eco-friendly bags is a nightmare but I think I've solved the problem now and will reorder this brand.

Properly compostable bags to ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards
I wanted poo bags which were properly compostable, on a roll with handles. These fit the bill perfectly and are long and nice and sturdy. Lots of brands have names which make them look as though they are Eco-friendly e.g. 'Earth Rated' but they are not and are made from/contain plastic. These Planet Poop bags are made from plant based materials and are certified compostable (to ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards). If you care about the environment then make sure you buy 'compostable' not plastic or just 'oxo-biodegradable' bags.
