Strategic Tools & Equipment OFR02 Medium Oil Filter Removal Tool

Bought this for my pickup truck but it was too small in diameter to fit around the filter and the base to clip into the filter was too small also. The F03 is much larger and will accommodate the filter but you have th hand loosen it first. It does a great job of keeping the oil within the cup.

It's a GREAT idea. But the 3 sizes without any size markings leaves you to just guessing, so this doesn't fit. I have to loosen it with something else, and the use this to drop the filter. It does to that well, so you can actually do a no mess oil change, when combined with an oil drain valve, like a  Fumoto F-106N Engine Oil Drain Valve

I do a lot of servicing, and oil spills are a problem. This tool does the job of catching the spills. wont loosen really tight filters, but once lossened a bit with the strap, this bad boy does the rest.

Notice: This does not fit on 2002 GMC 6L 2500 Sierra. There is not enough clearance next to engine to engage and turn this tool. AND the item is no longer returnable. Extremely disappointed. Waste of my money.

I actually cancelled my order after finally finding these charts. There are 3 individual sizes available for this tool: OFR01 small (pictured) - OFR02 medium (pictured) - OFR03 large (pictured). I realized OFR02 does not fit my Ram 1500 and cancelled. Hope this helps someone else. How does someone refer to a website in their review and then not direct you to it?

I threw it away. It doesn't fit onto a Fram PH9837 filter, as described and as listed right on the back of the box.

The concept of this tool is awesome. There is a site to check out what tool to get for your filter. When I received my tool, I dropped my new filter in to see if it fit properly, and it did. The problem is, the tool does not fit past my oil pan to get the tool around my filter. I own a chevy avalanche that could really use a tool like this, but the widest part of the tool is too wide for some vehicles like mine. My suggestion is, look how much room you have between your filter and anything next to it and see if the tool will fit. This tool was a waste of money for me. Needs to be redesigned.

This is a great filter wrench. I love it. My buddy loves it. We both have vehicles where the filter placement caused us to get oil streaming down our arm when we removed it. This filter wrench puts an end to that. You have to get the correct size. If you can't find the size information on Amazon look elsewhere. That's what I had to do. You also have to trim it to the correct length. It's not rocket science. Just put your new filter in it and trim it 1/4" to 3/8" longer than the filter.
