MAYFLASH F500 Arcade FightStick and MAGICBOOTS Bundle for Playstation 4

Packaged nicely, came a day earlier than expected and works great! I've been playing the PS5 version of Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 (which is a native PS5 version) since Thursday and haven't run into a single issue and/or complaint. Fantastic entry-level stick and great value for the price.

This fight stick is awesome and definitely works with PS5 out the box. Simply insert the magic boots in the usb slot on the fight stick and plug it into the PS5. Immediately played SF6 with no issues or lag. Also played the new Mortal Kombat One, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure : All Star Battle, Guilty Gear Strive, DNF Duel, MK 11, Them Fighting Herds, The Rumble Fish 2 and KOF XV. Also works perfectly fine with Devil May Cry, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart,Hades, Astro's Playroom, Override 2 Super Mech League, Sackboy : A Big Adventure, Raiden IV x Mikado remix & SW Jedi Fallen Order ( so potentially all EA games ). However there are some limitations as it is not compatible with every PS5 game. Grand Theft Auto V, Tribes of Migard, Omen of Sorrow, Battle Axe, Final Vendetta, Record of Lodoss, and Double Dragon Gaiden : Rise of The Dragons unfortunately do not work with this fight stick at all...sigh. But it is definitely be compatible with every PS4 game ( even non fighting ones) which is pretty cool. Overall I am quite pleased with this purchase...this controller is high quality and not cheaply constructed at all. The other comparable PS5 sticks are $200+ for just one which is outrageous and I would rather pay $250 for two controllers and have an extra one for my guests. I previously owned Mayflash fight sticks for PS2/3 and I am glad they still deliver a high quality product. So if your a gamer looking for a decent fight stick without breaking the bank then this is the one!!! :)

The enclosure is very sturdy for its size thanks to metal panels on the bottom and the top (underneath the acrylic). The overall footprint is similar to a Qanba N3/Drone or Qanba Q1/Carbon. Including a clear acrylic for changing artwork is a great value. The stock Mayflash parts are decent, and swapping to other parts is easy (though a 5 pin joystick cable is required). There is lots of internal space for different mods, and even flush mounting holes on the metal panel for some Seimitsu levers. I use it mainly for Steam games, but if you don't mind having to connect a gamepad or using magicboots to get it to work on some consoles, then this is a great value stick for its compatibility. I've used many different arcade sticks from all the major brands and this stick is my preferred one for travel.

I bought this 2 days ago and was a little apprehensive but I can 100% confirm this works straight out of the box with PS5. It shipped just a few hours after ordering and arrived 1.5 days later.Just plug stick into PS5 and tiny dongle into back of stick then press little button on back of dongle and Street fighter 6 recognized it and I was ready to play.This thing is heavier than I expected which is nice (feels high quality) and sits perfectly on my lap.Buttons feel very responsive as well as the joystick. I plan on using it with PS5, PS4,PS3, Switch but wanted to get this review up ASAP for other PS5 users looking for an "affordable" option for an out of the box universal fightstick. I will probably be upgrading it with sanwa parts and pick the colors that work with whatever art I end up going with which is why I didn't get the elite version. I was on the fence about buying the SF6 Hori stick but didn't like the colors and figured since I was going to change the art and stick/buttons this was perfect for me. What more can I say feels solid and works perfect with SF6 on PS5. Highly recomended.Update: Still awesome, I ended up getting Sanwa buttons and joystick then bought a Dali poster for the art. Looks awesome and works perfectly with all my fighting games (SF6, MK, Skullgirls , etc.) on both PS5 and Switch. I haven’t tried it on my PS3 or PS4 yet. Hope this helps 👍🏼
