3 LB Bulk Rough Stone Mix Large 1" Natural Raw Crystals for Tumbling Cabbing Polishing Wire Wrapping

This bag came with over a dozen distinct types of rough stones, every one of which had a decent number of great, large chunks. The amounts were evenly distributed with every type being well represented. I was very pleased to see that every single piece was a decent size for tumbling, with no small chips or broken pieces at all. Some reviewers have noted a disproportionate amount of white quartz or filler rocks, but that is not the case with my order. There is only one piece that looks oddly glassy (this is the pink piece displayed in the middle of the leftmost edge in the photo), as well as one piece that seems chalky (the bright white piece slightly down-left from the center of the photo). All others are easily identifiable natural stones. I will try tumbling these (minus the obsidian) to see what they become. Very happy with this purchase so far.

We have ordered twice now and both times were awesome! Lots of choices. Big rocks with a few medium/smaller ones. If you're looking for small pieces.. this is not for you as 95% of the pieces are larger. Great quality and variety. Pictured is what we got in 1.5 bags (the other half is soaking.). Yes, they are dirty/dusty... but they are raw. So far, we have amethyst, fluorite, smoky quartz, obsidian, blue tigers eye, tigers eye, blood stone, labradorite, quartz, rose quartz, different types of agate, red jasper, carnelian and even a few others that we aren't sure of yet! I will never go to another rock shop again. This is a great value for any rock lover.. and emptying out the bag to see whats in there is honestly pretty entertaining as well. :)

I'm fairly new to rock tumbling but I had the lid "pop off" a couple times. I couldn't figure it out till I came across someone who said that my rocks especially the obsidian emit gas when being tumbled. My bag did have 4 about half a palm size pieces of obsidian. Other wise its a good starter bag for the kiddos, just bare in mind.... rocks have gas, maybe someone needs to invent Beano for rocks.

i was pretty skeptical of this item at first because of some low reviews, but i decided why not.. 3 lbs of rocks/crystals/gemstones for 20 dollars? i was really happy with what i got! i got some stones that were bigger than an inch and some smaller; good variety of sizes though. i love the raw stones because every single one was different and unique. i got some rose quartz, amethyst, emerald, carnelian, citrine, clear quartz, obsidian, lapis lazuli, and more. beautiful color variety and it was worth every penny. you do have to rinse out the dust and identify the crystals yourselves, but it is a great way to learn

While I give the purchase a three stars, the rocks I'll give four. I'll explain. I was looking for rocks to tumble. However, the mixed bag that you get is not something you want to just throw in a tumbler. It took me a fair amount of research to identify most of the rocks (which was a good thing). Even with my limited experience I knew that mixing rocks of different hardness tend to chew up the softer ones (like the obsidian). The other lesson that I learned was that even though a mineral like the garnet and chevron amethyst rate high on the mohs scale, the pieces that I received were fractured and best suited for cutting and polishing on a lapidary wheel. The crystals tended to break apart and become a course medium in the tumbler (even with a filler to cushion). I checked the shine after three days on the fine grit, went another three days only to see the same appearance. When I rinsed the load out, I realized what had happened. I will include some pictures of what I put in and what came out. To be fair, I included some pictures of four other pieces (sodalite, tiger eye, red jasper and moss agate). Another rock that turned out nice was the pink quartz. There was some brecciated jasper, but in shades of gray. Learned alot. As far as the price, I would spend that much on gas to go rock hunting.

Accurate description. In the rabbit hole of shopping for stones and crystals, this seller was true to the listing. 3 lbs. of rough stones, plus a little bag of polished rose quartz. Most stones were properly sized as well, some much larger, which is good in most cases. Also no glass. Will buy again and share link.

This is my second time to purchase these rocks, which are from Madagascar,and will be run in a rock tumbler this summer when my two sons are at my place for their summer vacation. My son loves the pretty colors of these rocks, and he likes the process of tumbling them until they are smooth and shiny. These rocks seem to be an excellent value.I saw where someone complained about receiving duplicates of some of the rocks, and I have to say that nowhere in the description did they say there wouldn't be any duplicates. So, I would recommend them to anyone that wanted to make something pretty in their rock tumbler.

I ordered 3 pounds of rocks from three different companies so I could do a review for everyone! This 3 pound bag of rocks absolutely exceeded any expectations! The rocks were over an inch in size somewhere almost 2 inches! There were no little tiny chips floating at the bottom of the bag! The selection of rocks were unbelievable! And there was even a little tree bag inside, of some beautifully polished, rose, quartz! if you’re going to buy some raw rocks for tumbling or for jewelry, this is definitely the company to get them from!
