Works perfectly
This works great with my g7x mark ii. The camera asked and warned about a counterfeit battery but once pass that it’s exactly what I was looking for. The battery cover doesn’t close but the dummy battery is secured inside.

I ordered this in 2021 for my upstairs recording studio for streaming. It worked perfectly so I orderedit again for my video studio. I am so happy with this product. It powers my Cannon perfectlyand though I have read the camera won't power up if the battery door is open, mine works withoutany problem at all.I had a question about the adapter and the support from Tony at Glorich was amazing.I highly recommend this adapter and love the integrity and care of the company behind it.

You'll want to get a cage to get it to work with a G7X MKIII
Product is solid, but canon did away with the option to open the rubber seal that other models have so you can't close the battery compartment door. That said, you can get the uurig cage to shift the mount point and have the battery door open.

Over heating burning smell
I’m not sure is I received a defective one but my camera over heated in less than a minute. It’s had a burning smell and when I tried to turn it on I got a code saying it’s shutting it off for my safety. I only had it a few hours. I thought this was going to be great for recording my podcast. I did reach out to the seller but haven’t heard back yet so Im returning.

Works amazing!
I used this to provide a constant power source for my Canon G7X Mark II when I use it for streaming, and it works great! So far, no issues, and I don't foresee any coming up!

Life saver
I bought this so I could hook up my camera to a battery pack so I could go out on an all-day shoot and not worry about it. It was just a theory and had no actual evidence it would work. I am pleased to say it works fantastic!
