Old smoke alarm woke me up with false alarm at 4 AM. Old model no longer available. Replaced old 4 wire detector with this one and had no issue. Just have to put wires from old one into same connector. Take your time and its fairly easy.

The seller of these detectors has never let me down. I have purchased several of these and they were always brand new, designed for normal use on alarm systems, packaged by the manufacturer in the original box with the manufacturers installation and product specifications. They work properly as designed and I love it's features. It has one LED to inform you the status of the unit, and one that illuminates when it tripps. The mounting design is great as you can rotate the detector to unlock it from it's base and remove it without disconnecting the wiring to clean it.The seller price is very reasonable. I have purchased a total of nine of these units which most of them were from this seller and I have not had any problems with any of them. I plan to replace two older models that I have had for over nineteen years with this model and I will buy them from this seller as I have great trust with them.If you are looking to purchase one of these, I highly recommend buying them from this seller. Just to clear the air, I have never had any contact with this seller nor am I getting paid to write this review.

The smoke detector requires that you know how to properly install the product. There are no instructions for first timers that may short circuit the smoke detector or the control panel for the alarm system. It is a good product for its intended purpose.

This was intended to replace an existing device.After I sent the Item back for a replacement, my order was cancelled.

Simple install- they have been in use for a month now - no issues
