Larousse Student Dictionary French-English/English-French

The dictionary is awesome, very nice paper quality, light weight,good font size and words are highlighted for easy view.Packaging was bad, only in Amazon bag, seller should have wrapper the book in bubble wrap atleast, my book corners are damaged :(

My 11-yr-old daughter on being immersed in French for the first time, and finding out that Dad can actually help her with it, first borrowed my huge Larousse, and being drowned, asked for something simpler. This is it. Lots of help with grammar, idioms, petites boites avec histories, etc. We are working through Le Petit Prince with the French original and the English translation, and she delights in M. St Exupery's put-downs of adults. (An accusation en famille is now 'tu est une champignon!"). Small enough to be carried in a back pack, and easily coupled with the complete edition. Formidable!

Most example in english are very confusing. It is good but very hard to use if you are learning french.

It is a great dictionary. Nice paper, good font, lots of examples of different use of the words. Sizable, but easy to hold in hands even for kids. Several pages of nice colorful picture dictionary on various topics inserted in the middle. I prefer using this one myself in comparison to my own "adult" dictionary! If you are looking for a printed dictionary vs or in addition to online ones, you will not regret choosing this one!

Small enough to bring in backpack with school books; like the many examples it provides

It's a great option for kids.
